So Lerd0 let's say in an adult game we the players watch the MC's wife fucking his boss behind the MC's back, without him knowing anything at all. Or when he's in a coma. Or during his funeral. Does that game get the NTR tag? Rhetoric question, you know it would.
F95's definition after its modification last year:

John was this game's male MC.
We made choices as John.
John was trapped with two women, one of whom he lusted after, and the other one being his own sister who in turn had a crush on him and sucks him off.
Suddenly, John is taken out of the picture and the game forces us to watch a scumbag maniac rapist wife-beating, child molester fuck the two girls. It fits F95's definition like a glove.
Come on, vizinho. Bring the tag back, Lerd0. It doesn't make any sense for you to remove it.

MC don't be dead. The dev himself pointed in that direction in this very same thread some months ago.
How is he going to bring him back? Unknown. We were all eager to see it in 5b and look at what the dev pulled out of his bunda. It will probably be some absurd shit.

But... whose jealousy? The MC's or the players'?
Let's say that in Chasing Sunsets, one day Jaye suddenly boinks some hobo on screen behind the MC's back (GOD FORBID). He never learns anything at all. Therefore, he never feels any jealousy, right? That would be physically impossible.
Are you gonna make me believe that you wouldn't give that game the netorare tag if that happened?

I've always defended this: The original NTR tag is based on the players' "jealousy". In turn, this jealousy derives from the specific connection that the MC we play as has with a certain other character. It derives from our experience playing as that MC.

Will never understand this crying for MC...like what the actual f***? U here for dicks or them babes? Babes still here so what's the problem? As far as I am concerned MC's are the girls here. This second dude could get his dick chopped off so girls have some fun (perhaps even tiny revenge for their sacrifice). I think that the case with the MC is that with the flashbacks and the choices we make for him, is that there is a hint at a redemption arc. He was in a bad way and maybe he can finally come out the other way. Female MC has been in a bad place and has reasonable trust issues, but together they might fight to a better place... and then his head pops off. So, what? We're left with half the struggle, and now learn some of the sister I suppose... until we get invested some and someone's head arbitrarily pops off again? One glimmer of hope remains... we have seen bodies in tanks (experiments, hallucinations and induced blackouts). What the ladies saw may be have been induced and 'suggested' that John died... or a clone or whatever to keep effing with him... which seems to be the reason for putting him in specially-designed White Room in the first place. Like he was chosen. And then only just pop his head off on a whim.

Some people like me are convinced that this is all some sort of hallucination. The tank thing was mentioned a long time ago too.
But that doesn't change the fact that our experience as players has involved seeing Mark's persona doing all that stuff to the two girls, including the MC's virgin sister.
