I have some questions if someone can help.
1. What does town hall influence in the game?
2. Do girls use automatically consumable items in inventory?
3. Do girls become better at work as time passes or are their stats static?
4. Also, is there some reference what stats & traits are required for jobs?

I can only help you with 3. they do get better as they level up and you can always train sex stats at home or other stats in the brothel there is a job for it
1. I thing it gave less chance for bad events.
2. They can buy and use items on free time. I don't know about items you gave them.
3. Girls level up and you can train them for jobs in house.
4. You can see what Job girl is good in girl summary -> in girl menu click More Detail to see tab with Job Ratings -> it's rated E->S and I. it will tell you only about jobs you have available in that moment (so if you don't have Hospital or Studio you won't have any info about jobs in there).
okay, so i probably missed the part of this thread where someone had already asked about this but here goes: I downloaded and extracted the game; found a link to some girl packs and downloaded the ones I wanted. When I load the game to play it and head to the slave market, the only girls with images are the ones that I have manually inserted into the game directory. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
I checked on here, and other places for a 'random girls' pack, but none of the links are working, then I made a quick search for '.rgirlsx' and that came up with the same broken links.

You put girls in "...\WhoreMaster\Resources\Characters" folder. All girls have pic folder and and .girlsx text file if they are unique girl and .rgirlsx text file if random.
In slave market they sell both unique and random girls, but you can change ratio by changing value in config.xml (main folder) UniqueMarket="50".
Also if you can't find random girls pack, it's probably quite easy to convert unique packs if that is OK with you.
Hope this helps somewhat.

Here is a link to a folder that gives images to the random girls put it in the Resources folder not the Characters folder like this

check to make sure the image folder and the girlsx file have the same name u can also check to see if they are linked with the \Docs&Tools\Character & Item Editor WMEdit.exe
Alright so I saw somebody mention that the porn studio is known to cause crashes but is there a fix for it? I want to use the studio but right now when I try to set up to film a scene it crashes every time.

There is a new version being worked on by a different person it has made changes to the studio as well as others and currently trying to change how the image tagging system works. You can give it a try here

but i cant help you if u run into problemsThanks! I actually figured out the base game issue - the studio doesn't explicitly state a director is necessary but it is, at least to avoid crashing. Trying a version from github now too though.

I agree but slavemaker has not had any updates in years where whoremaster still has girl packs coming out tho very slowly and atleast 1 person trying to update the main game
