so i finished the game today and tbh it was one of my favorites out there. but as i've seen in the second book the engine is gonna be changed to rpgm. so i just wanted to ask if it's gonna be like most of the rpgm games out there, that have a lot of walking and no hints where to go and so on or is it gonna be like one quest at a time and you know where to go and what to do to progress in the story.
and thank you @ASLPro3D for this awesome game that is filled with choices and storytelling. definitely one of the best on the platform in my opinion.

Questlog is mandatory, with at least enough detail in the description that you know what the game expects of you.
Running across 12 40x40 maps just to get a bottle of wine isn't what we have in mind..... so yeah if you WANT to you can run around and explore, finding some hidden stuff but if you just want to do the quests and storyline there'll be easier options if it is further away, like taking a cab right to the house you want to go to, or taking the bus to a bus station near the place, or if you just want the main story there'll be an option to just teleport to the next main story relevant place. (At least that's what we planned! And I won't stop until I got it all to work like we want!)
So don't worry about it all. When the time comes, try it yourself and if you find things we could improve on just throw a post in here, we take constructive criticism to heart.

Jack has stated he is no fan of the 'fetch this' quest, or the have to eat/piss/find dresser to get to go to next scene. In more than 1 post here, it has been said that there will be 'xtras' if one explores, but a jump to option for those that want only the meat of the story.

@TobiMAH as far as i have understood from remarks from Palanto in this thread you will be able to teleport from quest to quest if you wish so or explore the world more on foot if you wish to get the whole background. So there will be no need to run miles for fetch quests if there will be any of those anyway unless you wish to. Further there will also be a skip text function included in the game for replays. If I misrepresented your words Palanto feel free to correct me

Ok i do have a question the new game is about Billie or William depending on what your choice was but i remember a post that we would also play as Lynara

As far as I know Lynara won't be playing a big role in that sidearc since it's mainly about the punishment of William aka Billie. Maybe she'll have a side scene or something (Don't worry too much about the sex part, I don't think any NPC will take her away from you in the side arc )

But about your save stats problem, I guess you have the same problem saying "name v0 not defined" well I'm trying for days to fix that now, but since there is no v0 in my script and since I tried almost every way of changing the interpolation in that screen, it still isn't working for the one I'm testing it with. So please be a little patient with me on that one
What it is for? Well, you should probably check your /saves/ folder, since even though it throws the error, it still saves the file It's to export all stats of the game to a file so that I can read that specific file later in RPGMaker MV

No doubt that Syrina is exactly the kind of woman every man with two brain cells would want as his GF and partner, but she is more the mc's sidekick and right hand in the game if I understood Jacks comments in this thread right. Lynara feels more like an independent power that will have her own influence on the story and war and a major one at that.

Hi @TobiMAH I am thankful to hear that you enjoyed out first game and no, our next one won't be like the majority of the games out there that are done in RPG, where it leaves you wondering where the heck you're supposed to go or what you're supposed to do... as others have mentioned, we will be doing it in a way that if people just want to follow the main questline, they can do so easily without traveling all over the place to get to it, but there will be other goodies, perks and items for those who want to explore the world more fully.

Lynara won't be in the Side-Arc game... they sort of have their hands full at the moment and if she, Syrina or the MC make an appearance at all in the Side-Arc, it will only be as NPCs... this whole Side-Arc is for William/Billie (and the outcome of your revenge), Claire, Karma, Janice and a whole slew of new characters... same universe, different story.

Not sure if Lynara will be a main part of the side story or if she will have to wait to the start of book II of Wicked Choices, but rest assure we will almost surely play as her again unless Jack changes his narrative plans I suspect. She is likely the most important single person in the game besides the mc. She would not have those story-lines without a special reason I would assume.

Correct... it is my HOPE that when "Wicked Choices: Book Two" comes out, it will be divided at the very start with people choosing who they want to play as... either the MC or as Lynara... they won't be playing as BOTH as they did in "Wicked Choices: Book One".

I think what you said it being your decision is all that needs to be said but just to be clear there are other reasons why people don't like RPGM just beyond the grindy porn game. For one it makes it easy to fast forward to specific points of the game and read any changes they don't have replay a 30 hour game often with combat to see different branches.

The other being is most people play porn games for the pictures and somewhat of a story not the game. At least I do. It;s why I prefer to play the games listed here rather then the japanese stuff which are either combat driven bores or books with a little bit of xpictures. In any case I hope it works out I enjoyed your previous releases and am for the most part a fan (got too wordy for me at times) I wish you the best of luck.

I am not ignorant to how the current market works that I am currently in... Yeah, but their plane made from a bicycle DIDN'T work... the principle was sound, needing tires to land, but the frame was too solid and it DIDN'T WORK... it wasn't until Flyer 1 was created did they manage to gain flight (sorry, have brothers who work in the aerospace engineering fields).

So far i'm liking it and just to be clear this is one of the games that i kind of, how would you say it, i kinda play this game wishing things could go exactly how i want them. A game that i had full control over and yes i know that is not possible and this is one of the few games that i do this with and that is saying that i really love this game. If i ever seem like i may be bashing something it is because i hold this game in the same regards as my favorite game Xenogears.


Also note that when i rate things like games and anime very few and i mean very few ever get a 100/100 and to show what i mean Xenogears is not a 100/100 but for me like a 95/100 and if you played it you would know why. Now i cannot say for sure yet what this game gets but it is so far around 95 to 99/100.

Someone said the punishment for William was light and yes i seen the reply to that and how it may not be light giving a lifetime of mental torture but i may kinda agree it seemed light but then again the 3 woman who showed up Karma said she wants some flesh from William and i can't wait to see what she means.
I also read the reason for the move to RPGM and i already talked on Discord about it and like i said i'm gonna wait and see how it turns out and that is all we can do!

I'm not 100% against RPGM since i have played some really good ones and if it is done as good as Coceter or Roundscape then we have nothing to worry about.
