Heya guys! How've you all been? Green and I have been hard at work in pushing the update out as soon as we can. GreenScheme is already at the final part of editing the game. I'm assuming he'll be done in about 2 or 3 days. After that, I'll be sending it over to get it proof read. Then translated. I can't put out a release date yet as the last thing I want to do is rush them. But I'll announce it soon, so stay tuned.

To all my patrons and supports, a heartfelt thank you to you all for making this all possible. I wouldn't be here without you. . As thanks, I'd like to include all of you in the credits at the end of chapter 3 from Ocelots to the Lionhearts. I can't imagine any game jumping from 0.2 to 1.0 in six months — especially not an indie game.

No there's nothing that's been said, I was going by the general structure that most devs use in a first project which is doing 0.1 increments until 0.9 and then it usually hits 1.0.

I've no idea how many updates the dev wants to do.

Never said that, said that the general structure most devs use in a first project tends to be up to 0.9 and then 1.0.
Most devs try to not go overly ambitious and do something like a 20 update game for their first one, given that there are a lot of things to learn and figure out how to do well.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the next update is supposed to be focused on Lexi, Fiona and Desiree, so yeah... a lot of interaction with Lexi is inbound.

Would've felt less gross if she was just relegated to being a side character or an early character and having to recruit someone else.

Just feels weird as fuck to basically go "okay so I know that you want to focus on other things in life, but I don't respect your choice and you'll need to play for us" type deal. She's probably the one character I've come across in a VN where her reasons basically just makes me go "that's fair, it's your life, you should live it like you want to" and I have no qualms over it.

Well of course, but it doesn't help alleviate the feeling of just being dismissive of what someone wants. I mean she was even signed up by someone else (atleast I think that was her, unless my memory is failing me).
So not only did she not sign up for it, she's also just not interested at all because she wants to focus on something else, and the game will simply force this no matter what. Even if you put it in the most easily digestible wrapping, that's still her having to dismiss what she wants to do with her life right now in order to play for a team she didn't sign up for.

It's just kinda shit no matter how you look at it and no matter the initial circumstances.
I've had to drop shit in my life due to extenuating circumstances and move on to doing something else that I wanted, it ain't great, but I would be pretty pissed if someone then showed up to invalidate my decision and go "yeah nah get back there", and that's a much milder situation than hers given that she apparently dropped it out of her own choice.

If I remember correctly, Lexi and Fiona had sports rivalry, maybe Lexi will be motivated to join after we recruit Fiona
