The hell do you think game development is? It WILL take 5 years, at least! If you think this game will be done faster than that you are deluding yourself. There's a reason why big game studios usually announce their game project around the end of development; so you don't get to see the 5 years it took them to get the game into any playable state.
i m just saying... comparing this with AAA company or such is pointless.

need to keep in mind that AAA company have a "budget" that can reach millions $$ to build the game.
also rarely see big game studio working with less than 20-30 people minimum, 24/7, with years of experience behind them.

sure wild life team have experience and such, sure they work on it 24/7 (maybe not :p), but they dont have the millions budget to make the game.

difference is, theses big game company have a limited budget, if they go out of it, they fail. they also have ETA at base (even if it's not mentionned publicly, they can't take forever to do the game and release it, hence situation like cyberpunk 2077 unfinished hot shit.)

wild life team have no ETA, and probably dont plan any of it, because the long they take, the more money they got from it. instead of a limited millions$ budget, they got infinite budget spread. so the game could take 5 years, as much as it could take the whole century to come out. and they aren't 30 to work on it.
they also didn't advertise their game publicly as much as a "normal" (non porn) game will do.


so, just saying, you can't compare this with big game company. it's totally not comparable. it will be like comparing space x with my whole neighbors building a cola-mentos upside down giant plastic bottle rocket to reach the moon. :KEK:

I randomly wanted to check how is the game doing and it appears people are just going bonkers over "100k a month / 5 years of development".

While project duration on patreon is technically 5 years for first two years it was more a pitch trying to get support then time spent developing the game.
Rough estimate of average support from patreon per month :
1st year - <100$
2nd year - <10k
3nd year first half - < 10k
3nd year second half ~40k
4th year ~60k
5th year ~95k
Building a team is not something that can be done in a month and given the nature of patreon support you need to give yourself a head room, so making a 40k you can't build a team that you need to pay 40k. When they jumped to 40k$ they probably spent like half year building up a team so that means game is only two years in development.
Next issue is upscaling the team as support increased , finding the talent.

What budget do open world TPP games with action combat have ? 10m$? Maybe they can do it with less BUT EFFICIENCY is the key here. Team that has worked together on many games and has a resource base from old games that they can reuse even partially is so much more efficient that is not even funny. I would go to say that newly formed team needs AT LEAST TWICE the amount of funding compared to established studio.

When i first saw the promotional video for Wild Life my reaction was along the lines "cool idea , won't work". Seeing the project get as much support as it has now ... well damn. I'm rooting for them but it is still looong way from home. Many people i think expect Skyrim with sex, but that is just not gonna happen. Another 5 years with 100k+/month wouldn't be enough. The best case scenerio in my opinion is if they create world, combat systems, resources (animations, voices what not) that people that then could build on and create their own stories maybe even whole games. Think RPGM in 3D and action combat. But i'm not sure if that is even allowed under unreal license.

The funny part about this post is that it's the exact opposite of what happens. Devs announce games in the conceptual stages and go years without gameplay. See: Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Starfield, Elder Scrolls VI. The one and only recent example of what you're talking about that I'm aware of is Fallout 4.

Nope undoable under Unreals License you would run into a lot of trouble with your lawyers releasing that, all these changes could only exist inside your Studios Main Branch.
They would be seen as pure competition publicly, thus why many really good devs avoid it for now.
If you release under Unreal you become part of Unreal and it will be hard to get out of it once you in.
So if this would be your Goal to create Unreal is no good choice under it's of course IP protecting terms.
All your Internal Developments could be rather claimed by Epic then in the worst case.

Anyone can tell me how to fix this please? These 2 files just disappear every time I download the game and I've tried to download 3 different versions of the game but it's still the same 2 errors. I'm pretty sure my antivirus isn't touching them and no one else seems to be having this problem.

I've been meaning to ask what are those sex minigames? I only use the sandbox or viewer mode the one where its just a dark empty space with some lit up spots around a fast travel point and I assume the minigames are not available there?

Sex minigames is not a good name for it. Its not really a minigame, more like a flow graph of certain sex poses that follow in progressive order. It has some minimal interactivity where you can perform some sort of action in some places. The most complex one right now is maya rawn which starts in a blowjob position and lets you chose if you want to go doggy instead, if you stay in blowjob she starts with a handjob, you can select to go into blowjob through licking the tip after a while, or keep handjobbing and get a facial cumshot after which you can either perform a boobjob sequence of 3 animations I think or blow him. Blowjob ends in oral creampie after a longer sequence of intensifiying loops. After that you can actually select if you still want to do doggy or end the thing. In doggy he starts by licking her pussy during which you can select if it goes anal or vaginal. After a while you can also do some kissing or switch holes. Then it goes on into a knotted creampie and a juicy pull out animation. At the end he licks her off for a while and then it ends.

There is also a cum-bar at the top which now only acts as a progression bar but isnt very helpful because in maya rawn case it only shows progress into the oral creampie and neither of the other two cumshots.

I dont know how this scene is placed in the complexity spectrum of their final vision but its fairly detailed already and plays very nice.

There is 6 other so called mingames that are all less packed with animations:
A Maya kral blowjob sequence with no interactivity I think that is only available in the sandbox.
The other 5 are in the demo but can also be viewed in the sandbox with the respective characters.

Smut game developers are like the government. They will do whatever people let them get away with. They are the reflection of the people funding them (paying taxes). If their patreons (tax payers) are bunch of clueless naive morons, they will unapologetically cashgrab for years, while balancing on that edge by providing bare minuscule of content (state management).
And just like most of the tax payers are clueless naive morons irl, same trend is with patreon people, who are in turn nothing but the reflection of general population.
This is why no amount of debate or convincing others can ever change that. People are people, bro. For one guy who understand it say here, there are ten thousands who have no clue, nor do they care. What can actually change things are contenders (revolutionaries) who visibly do it better. More of them the merrier. All about that taking away that monopoly.

Does anyone has brighness issues? I dont know how to twich video seetings to make picture comfortable, or it's too dark or it's too bright. And brighness does not make everything bright more likely in mist or fog.

I see. Thanks man! So it seems most of them have some sort of condition before you can see them and any mode other than the empty space gallery like mode is pretty tough on my low end rig so I'm just gonna have to live without them. The gameplay hasn't exactly piqued my interest so I'm only in it for the smut scenes in the gallery mode which are probably one of the best 3d scenes I've seen on this site.
