If you're on the UE5 version I assume it's just a bug. For me the whole customize setting windows disappears for single NPCs that I spawn in editor mode :D
I'm back to the UE4 version, but I'm looking forward to when UE5 is more stable. Especially because of the new hair, poses and shey based char.
Hope it gets fixed soon!!! o_O

On every fresh PC you need to install graphics drivers, latest Visual C++ Runtime of all years (2008-2022), Full DirectX Runtime, Microsoft XNA Framework, .Net Runtime, Java and OpenAL. These programs are normally installed by installers of your games.

Is it just me or has this been a sandbox since forever?
I always assumed it was a sandbox they decided to thread a vague story through thanks to financial success, but apparantly it wasn't especially intended to be a sandbox-sandbox, lmao.

If I were you I'd just mentally pretend it is a sandbox. Hard to imagine a full game coming out of this and their production quality goals seem to be too high for anything that does to be all that expansive unless we're looking at the Porn Star Citizen here.

I don't know what causes this but on the flat empty sandbox map without anything, I am at 19 fps, I disabled shadows and i'm at 28 fps now ( on the UE4 version I was at 50 / 60 fps

Also I noticed a shadow problem with the sun ( in the global illumination disabled option and with screen space activated too ), the characters are completly dark when we are looking at the opposite direction

No but I just like to use the vanilla stuff that's included everything else is too fiddly for me :p
But the vanilla sandbox can take you prett far, I just used the ends of the dreamcatcher once as "rope" replacement and another time I just used the geometrical shaping tools to create something to lock a chair on the wall with the wrists and feet.
I mean to use them externally, into Blender, or 3Ds Max or something else, like some people do with Fortnite and other Unreal Engine game characters and things like that.

Whatever I'm done debating about the state of the game. For now, I just wanna know: has anyone gotten the Max x Lala scene to work (the floor scene)? The minigame just isn't working at all; it crashes the moment I initiate sex with Max, whether I'm Lala or Maya

Note: The good boy and the sethro x Maya ones are working smoothly as intended

Edit: Nvm I found a fix. Choosing sex minigame ALWAYS crashes the game BUT choosing "sex" and not "sex minigame" will allow you to access the "onthefloor" scenes AND the "Alissa missionary scenes." The first one is crazy good btw. I'll admit that seeing that one kinda made me forgive the devs a bit. Note that I tested this with Max (Ens Morris model) and Lala

Yeah they have been picking it up more recently. I mean they are making about 100k a month. I downloaded it a year ago. They are probably working on the story stuff in the background but pushing out game mechanics.

Personally I would like to play a game like Skyrim with sex integrated with the story. Sex simulations are fun but I want a full on rpg with sex.

But usually, developers focus on one aspect because it sells. So hopefully when they do add a story that's decent and good.

i think theres an info somewhere about the plans concerning the final game and i believe they want to make an actual fullfledged rpg with crafting too.
dont quote me on this, read the official info instead but on the other hand, when u got such high quality animations going u want to keep them up too.

most games wont show u a lot of the story/quests and world etc until its mostly ready for a field test aka beta. that wont happen when they are still in the state of building assets. u cant even call it alpha, let alone beta.

people nowadays play games without a care and clue but its actually a shitton of work. big companies/devs just recycle a lot to meet publisher/investor demands and often have hundreds of people in the team and it still takes years to build a game at least halfway properly. often its still a buggy mess because mentioned demands.

adding sandbox stuff works without context of story and the world so it makes sense to do that inbetween and give people at least something.
noone can work wonders and pull an insanely good game out of the hat.

They have been doing story stuff in most of their pateron posts but its like "We made 2 assets *paragraph of useless text explaining a frog thing." To be fair in comparison to other porn devs yeah they upload semi actively. But compared to a normal game dev for the amount they make the progress is laughble.

Imagine backing a game and reading in the changelog: We've managed to break the lighting, remove the fur, decrease performance, and introduce new bugs. We've got rid of the questline and deleted a ton of assets. Also the game probably won't run on your pc any more, so stick to the older version.

They didn't break or remove anything, it's not that they made the stable UE4 version unavaiable and left you with a broken game. The UE5 release is just a sneak peek for a heavily experimental in-development build. That's what Patreon is there for in the first place, to support developers during development and get early fragmented builds to try out in return.

It's astonishing how some here seem not to understand this concept.
