I just tested downloading the latest Wildlife update, so here's the verdict:
Ouch, on my workstation (4 graphics cards, etc.)...
The General map is lagging, Steve?

You should know that nothing lags on a machine like this; the previous one ran better...

I tested it on my neighbor's dream i7, same problem: the 32GB of RAM takes a long time to discharge when the game is closed, and the shaders are doing weird things on the horizon.
Well, I'll just have to live with it. Same with my guitar when the strings are worn out. ;) :cautious:
Why do you go on ranting about here every so often over flaws of a game that is heavily work in progress and stoop to low-level insults toward the devs. and other content creators? (I am sure the way you have been conducting and advertising yourself here over the past few months, avid observers would have no problem classifying you as a narcissistic, self-serving hypocrite)

The official Wild Life Youtube Channel has update status videos with information on the very topic your argument challenges and as to why average performance is the way it currently is. Not even a high end rig with a RTX 5090 could currently run the story mode at stable 60fps but that will eventually improve as development progress moves to the final stages. Patience, Padawan.

Chris, any chance for a Denna/Maya based nun, Demon and new mummy release? Your teasers were awesome.

The new WL Update really can cause surpising graphic problems. With sharpness setting on 5.33 (thanks for the hint!), reflection on objects or plants like grass now show massive artifacts. Sparkling dots, dotted lines and sometimes rows of dotted lines... (HeavenlySword - this is no dev bashing but a hint. Clearly WL is work in progress and in my case the artifacts are gone when sharpness is stet back to presets.)

Well i wrote "insult", not "bashing" and there were at least 12 instances in which he indulged. Now, imagine if the devs were to optimize the game builds every 2 months as they iterate and how long it would take and push back the planned release date. And to be fair, those issues you mention were already building upon before the October 2025 Test build. In other words: Overall performance was wanting long before that.

I am glad you found an acceptable compromise to improve your personal experience.
Some props, like certain bush types and grass types have missing textures and missing alpha maps, causing artifacts and texture flickering. Turning off Virtual Shadow Maps can help eliminate some of the annoying distractions the eye tends to wander off to while traversing. Adding and editing LOD-related values in the .ini settings, aswell as turning off lumen reflections, can help, too. They will downgrade the visual experience, however. Afaik, most of these issues have already been reported as bugs in the official discord, so at least the devs are aware of it and they are working on new and better environmental and foliage assets and technical improvements. So maybe all that stuff will be completely replaced in future updates. And there are many more graphical issues to fix and improve, some tied to Unreal Engine 5 issues and limitations, some tied to game development.

Personally, i see the early access to in progress story-mode as an opportunity to experience something what is and what could become. A journey the devs freely share with us as they hone it to something worthwhile.

can only agree with you, that's why most of the main content creator, and Steve now ignore this guy.

I wouldn't pay attention to Khuraz too, I wouldn't be surprised if that would be chris's second account, if you check, Khuraz only interact with chris or related things to him, and the pattern is always the same, chris post soemthing and few hours later Khuraz answer him to thanks and congrat him.
What annoy me, is chris is kinda spamming this thread and there isn't any more room for talking about this game
