I get ppl hate remakes, but I'm not gonna act like it's better to make a dev burnout on a game they are no longer happy with
If a dev's burnt out from developing their game, then starting from scratch and making it even more complex isn't going to help. The burnout to remake to abandonment pipeline is very real and people tend to assume the worst when remakes are announced.

Games will get abandoned or continued one way or another.
We're effectively getting nothing but first drafts with every update of every game.
If actually novels were forced into the same system as visual novels nothing would ever get finished. Novels undergo multiple drafts and stories can get changed and fixed multiple times before going to get published. If authors were trapped with their first drafts they'd probably abandon their works more frequently too.
VN developers feeling and being trapped in their first drafts, in ideas the no longer work for their vision of the story, would explain a lot just abandoning their projects.

Alright so I will be spreading this around on all sites that this game is on. Warning. Don't support this dev. If you did and you disliked any changes they will be a complete jackass. It all started today with the release of the new looks for one of the girls. I didn't like it. So I commented this.

I just don't get it. You have a popular game with hours of work that people love and support. Then, you decide to do something unnecessary and stupid by doing a remake or changing art styles completely. Amity Park (the anime artstyle is trash and takes away from the Danny Phantom looks), Re:Hero Academy did a remake which made everything from version one pointless, and now this with a remake and horrible designs. If people love your product, there isn't any need to change it. I'm with the others on the designs. If the dev is really going with those designs for the remake, then I'm out too.

Well I haven't played this in a while and decided to check in on it and good lord those new designs look bad
The new look isn't jarring, it's downright shit. It looks like he's doing artwork for some shitty mobile game being marketed to little girls.
Either way, was pretty obvious that he was a garbage dev when he announced the rework/remake. At first when I saw rework I though it might be a good thing to be a shot at fixing this game's biggest problems, that it was too complex and that finding specific scenes and paths was way too convoluted. Apparently the dev thought that the game's biggest problem was that it wasn't convoluted enough and wanted to add even more complexity to a game that needed less. The game has, or maybe after he reworks it I should say had, very good storytelling and some of the most clever use of music for foreshadowing I'd ever seen in an AVN but it's in development hell and I doubt I'll ever touch it again.

Damm what a jackass well we allready know another dev to put in the shit list a shame. I liked what i played of this game a long time . Well after seeing the remakes of characters i will not like it anca nivali levels some devs in his discords act like cult liders and sects damm some people on this discords act like they have a lobotomy.

It is not just the awful art the Developer if you read that one persons copy paste acts toxic because you don't like the awful teenager art.
This current world we live in is such a toxic environment from just 10 years ago you give any opinions and you are either a racist or a troll. I can't believe how bad the world has gotten in the last 5 years or so.
- Talk Politics you can get fired
- Say something mean to someone they cry, attack, or sue you (What happened to sticks 'n stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me?)
- Have fan arts in games or anime (companies are attacked so everything is censored)
- Have moral views your attacked. (can't say keep your sex life behind closed doors like we did in our day)
- Say something negative about something you yourself personally don't like you get banned.
- Comedy bad because it makes fun of people. We don't get Comedy Movies anymore because of humor is wrong it's not politically correct.
It's like the world is run by nothing but childish emotions and not adult logic, morality, and emotions.
We use to joke about how dystopian the anime world of "Shimoneta: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist" was yet we are slowly becoming what this very Anime warned about.
It's pretty simple and happens so often on h-games. The author/dev is pretty deep in and and wants to remake/master it with polished skills to have it at another level. (which is often a good thing, when you see final results --> people will like it or not.. that will always happen).
However most devs (this is just my opinion throughs years of experience on this site) just use it as an excuse to keep making money because the lost interest or don't know how to keep going onwards.
Not surprised has he had a fit when he left here about 4 years ago.

"I'm attached to the original design, and it's difficult for me to let it go. But I do hope your remake help the project evolve."

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the designs. It just screams, mobile game.
*edit Actually I take that back it screams those scam ads you see for games that are nothing like the ads.
