You can't, not entirely, any more than you can be entirely sure any given file that your antivirus software doesn't flag isn't a false negative. But, I mean... the site staff claims to vet everything they upload. The download links in a thread's OP can thus be assumed safe until proven otherwise, if you trust the site staff, and if you don't, what are you even doing here?

If you don't want to risk it, try using a Virtual machine like a Virtual Box.

Modifying money, strength, health and the girls affinity is pretty easy as long as you remember that you need to multiply all in-game values by 2 before searching for them.
The max cap for strength was a bit of a bitch to find but you only need that for the mermaid.

You need to search more than once.

In your pic you just did the initial search for 1700 (850x2). Now go to work. You earn 100 so now you type in 1900 (950x2) and click on "Next Scan". Repeat until the number of results no longer decreases and you have your money value(s).

Also a tip for money if you already didn't know this. Making money to 99999999 will crash the game cause I believe that might be the cap, so when you work I think it goes pass that cap and crashes the game. Just a theory. Although You can bring it less than that from my testing. I made it 900000000 and it stuck. Also, when your editing money, just "work" to see the money change and then save it after.

Edited: Money Cap might be 450000000.
