To be completely honest with you I don't get that. I do respect the story you're telling and I don't mean to imply this is just a porn game, but at the end of the day it's still a porn game. From my own perspective I thought MC was being too little of a perv if anything. He is getting better as time goes on which I appreciate as it's a good part of building him as a character, but his minimal perversion is much less of a problem with his initial character as his low confidence and harem protagonist mental density is.

That was my initial assumption, too. I thought you had to have perving and early, easy H-scenes, or AVN players would get bored. But now, 4 years later, I go back and read it and... it just feels forced. I'm not happy with it, and even people who love the story still point these things out. And it's not a hard fix. Writing comes real easy to me. I'm not reshooting entire scenes, just retooling something that's been said so that it communicates what I was trying to get across more clearly.

Honestly now the only characters I actively dislike are his sleazey coworker who doesn't respect anyone's boundaries or culture (blanking on the name at the moment, but really learned to hate him when walking on patrol with the dark elf girl), and the former coworker obvious villain.

I don't know if she counts as a character because you don't interact with her in the present, but aside from those two I also hate the ex-girlfriend/stalker's sister, first off for what she did to hurt her sister and turn her into the stalker, and also for messing her up so bad that you can't develop a decent relationship with her, at least for the time being.

Tagging at f95 is basically useless for anyone who's interested in a more niche fetish, or looking to avoid, because it's user reported, and there's always some goober who is overly sensitive and reports tags that don't exist and the mods just add them. You see it all the time with the three letter/femdom/lesbian tags.

Please don't replace the early Gillie scene. Something could be added, but that scene was good and fit her personality. It also established the MC as someone who is mature and understands the concept of delayed gratification, an early indicator of intelligence. There is a low ratio of mature MCs in AVNs.

Interesting take. This is the first positive feedback I've gotten about this scene. I wonder if there's anyone else out here that feels the same? Maybe I should include a question on the next community poll about it. Could be there's just more people willing to come out and make fun of it than publicly praise it, and that I've been listening to the detractors too much.

I liked the scene. On top of establishing Gillie's personality it is also kinda important for establishing her role in the harem. She's introducing the MC to a bunch of girls and giving him the green light to romance them. It's a good way of establishing her role in his life without letting herself fall behind the competition. It's especially important given how she's shortly after incapacitated for a while and a bunch of other girls pretty well skip the que ahead of her quite a bit with the MC during her recovery.

Honestly there's this real weird subset of harem "fans" who come to harem games and complain that there's sex. Like of course it comes quick, there's so many girls that we need to get through them quick or they'll never get any content. If anything you're taking a rather conservative pacing when it comes to sex and relationship development. Not sure that's a bad thing but slowing it down from where it is isn't a good thing imo.

But on the perving- topic: one major thing that kept me interested in this game and story was the fact that MC is NOT just another awkward idiot who pervs on anything that moves.
So if you have ro include those scenes, please make it a choice.

Yes, I quite enjoyed the first scene with Gillie. I didn't feel it was too far out there or anything else. It kind of acts as a bridge for the rest of the world to change for Aurum.

Yeah it probably doesn't need more reaction than a first time "Wow" sort of internal thought as a generality given Aurum's general personality.

Hmm, maybe they could be reworded, but I don't think they need to be removed. The thing people fail to understand sometimes is that the difference between a creep and not. A creep will act on impulses and not give a thought about how the other person feels. Someone who is not a creep will have empathy for the other person when considering actions to take. Both can have the same level of attraction to boobs, butts, etc. internally. It is how they act upon those thoughts and impulses that make the difference.

[PROGRESS REPORT] A Hard Lesson, But Worth The Price​

So um... I just realized that I put in over 16 hours today on just WCA. Not exaggerating. For 3 scenes. I have officially found my limit. I um... I'm not gonna be doing that again. Especially with how emotionally rough shooting one of those scenes was on me. But it felt good to get it out, I suppose.

Here's where we are:



Yeah, that's a lot of progress in 2 days. I'm really proud of all that was done, especially considering how code-intensive one of those scenes was. The first two scenes only took me 6 hours. That last one took me a little over 10 hours. And that was WITH Necro helping me plan it out.

I honestly really hope you all enjoy this next update. I... well, I decided to inject a bit of my own story into Aurum's. I'd pulled some bits and pieces here and there already with the Taekwondo and the Security and all that, because writing what you know is powerful in storytelling. Despite that, one thing I don't want is Aurum feeling like an author self-insert. I've tried very hard to avoid that, to make him a unique character not solely based on anyone. But the black-and-white flashback scenes in this coming episode... well, those are real things that happened in my life. I was on the fence about doing this at first, but I always feel that injecting some reality into fiction makes it feel deeper and more engaging. And it did feel good to finally get some of that stuff out. I also feel that these events fit Aurum very well as far as informing some of his bad habits and the mistakes that he makes, and these events were sort of what his bad habits were planned around. Really hope no one decides to trash the "writing" in these sections, because in this instance, it's not writing. It's not fiction. I'm just telling you what happened. Some of this shit you can't make up.

This episode was the perfect place for this as well, as those of you who saw the S4 Preview are probably REALLY wondering what comes next after something like that. I've done a lot of hinting and I've done a lot of suggesting, and I'm certain a fair few people have figured out what's going on. But after this episode, you'll know Aurum's story, and I'm probably not gonna be inserting any more real events into the game. It's only supposed to be dark temporarily; that way, when you see the light again, you appreciate it more. That way when you get back to the fantasy, back to the joy of chatting with the girls and breaking down your walls, you'll be happy to be past the rough parts.

I cannot wait to have this episode done and out to you. I'm gonna do my best to give this episode a really good, sweet ending to set up for the next episode, because balance is important.

Good news is, the other three team members are each taking 1 scene to shoot, leaving me with only 3 left to write and only 2 more I'll have to shoot personally.

Yup. Every version of the game going forward will support all DLC. The Fantasies Collection will be updated as more H-scenes are added to the game or as we dream up more non-canon ones. Each DLC character comes with their own full replay gallery at the end of their story so you can replay ANY of their scenes, not just the H-scenes.
