They shouldn't have appeared as ? marks unless you've unlocked them. If you opted out of their content, the ? marks shouldn't appear. So you should have them.

Here, this may help. The full unlock screen. The left two, you have opted into. They just don't have content yet. The rightmost one is the one you missed, and that's the one you unlock via Yuka. She doesn't have much content, though.

The Character screen has a TON of characters in DLC and some in the CORE that I have no idea how I missed. I assume the DLC ones are the Pinup Packs? But I see Yuka and some others in the Core section that I never unlocked I guess.

Do I need to replay to find them? I don't mind replaying, but given the "on the rails" nature of the game I can't imagine how I missed that many.

Thats how it will look when all those characters and their content gets added. Right now the screen is only populated by certain characters.

Yeah, I designed the game in such a way that you shouldn't miss anything you don't want to miss. I wanted the player to be able to see everything on a single playthrough, rather than have to worry about routes and locking characters off and the like. One thing I'm heavily against when designing my games is trying to farm playtime. That's why I don't do sandbox games or games with defined routes you have to take.

[PROGRESS REPORT] Ideas Abound​

Hey, all. Before I get to yapping, here's where we're at:

Most of the work done on Season 2 Episode 5 was setup. We needed a ton of new models, made a couple of adjustments to existing models, and most of us worked on setting up scene cards to make the shooting of the scenes easier. That's the part that drains most of my energy, setting up the damn scenes. Thankfully, there are now two people helping with that, and a third person helping with some of the story ideas when I write myself into a corner. And for some fuggin reason, none of that is factored into our progress percentage. So while it may look like not a lot got done on the main story since the percentage only moved up by 1, but we have been BUSY this period, getting a lot of the aggravating setup out of the way.

And Senia... well, I have her story fully written now. All that's left is to shoot, score, and bugtest her scenes. She's so close to release, y'all. So close. 22 scenes, 2 more than we'd anticipated. There are a LOT OF FUGGIN H-SCENES, which will be grueling to shoot, but I think it'll be worth it once we release her.

[GIVEAWAY] Thank You for 4 Years!​

4 years. 4 years I've been making this game. Good god.

Technically June was the 4 year anniversary of World's Crossing Academy's launch, but better late than never. We wanted to do something special for the community, specifically for those who can't support the game financially but still stuck with us this whole time. Most people know completed DLCs are locked to T3 or higher, or available for sale if you're not on the SubscribeStar or Patreon. So a lot of people just... aren't able to experience any of the extras.

So we're giving away the Fantasies Collection Add-on, the H-gallery unlocker. You can get it here:

Recently, I learned how to build things in Ren'py as directories instead of zips, so this is only an .rpa file. It's the same version that Supporters currently have, just as an .rpa instead of a zip. No new scenes, so Supporters, if you want to swap over, all you have to do is go into the "game" folder and delete the "Scripts" folder. Then just slip the new .rpa into the "game" folder and let it overwrite if necessary.

If you've done it correctly, you'll get a little notification thanking you for buying the Fantasies Collection, and you'll see a new option on the menu screen. There will also be a new option in the Options menu.



I'm pretty sure I have the Animated Thumbails turned off by default in the FC. They are pretty resource-heavy, but if you think your machine can handle them, you can try turning them on. Really don't recommend for anyone on mobile or with a lower end machine.

Also, for anyone who might be wondering why the DLC character scenes aren't in this gallery, it's because each DLC character has her own gallery at the end of her story. We're working on getting Senia finished so you can see what that looks like.

[PROGRESS REPORT] Oh Boy, Here I Go Gobboposting Again​

You know the drill. Progress first.



Team's been working extra hard this period. Senia is 1 scene away from full release. Once we shoot and score that, then it's off to bugtesting her entire DLC, and then we release her to the public! Will probably take us another week or two. In the meantime, T5 and T4 Supporters will get Senia 0.9 shortly after I'm done posting this, where you can play everything but the final scene we're working on. That's 21 scenes total. I'd really love some feedback from you, as well, since this will be our first completed DLC character.



Senia's story is turning out to be unnecessarily cute, way more than I initially intended. But she's got some fire in her, and when she starts getting comfortable... hoo boy.

Anyways, that's it for the moment. T5 and T4, I'll have Senia 0.9 up for you shortly!

On the Team Emberwings Discord channel announcement thread, and here.
On the progress pics there is usually a dlc progress bar at the bottom of the pics.
So my question is this, are the dlc stories mentioned there built into the versions we get here?

I would ask this on discord, but that could get me a warning for mentioning a avn pirating site like this one, I learned that the old fashioned way.

Oh, we don't mind talking about F95 on our Discord. I post the links to my F95 posts in the Discord announcements. Discord TOS prohibits posting pirated content and encouraging piracy, so as long as you're not linking to something that's supposed to be paid and was leaked, or anything like that, you're fine. It's mainly a server safety thing, as breaking TOS can get the entire server shut down. But mentioning the site is fine in our server. F95 has been really good to us as far as not leaking our paid content, so we're more than happy to do frequent giveaways of normally paid content.

The DLC stories are optional romance routes that we intend to release for purchase. Up until release, they're accessible only by T4 supporters and up. Once they release, they're free to T3 and half off for T2.

That being said, we're also painfully aware that there's a large chunk of AVN players who can't support financially or have no ability to purchase side stories like this. We do giveaways fairly often (there's one going on right now until the 24th, giving away the $10 Fantasies Collection add-on for free). Heck, I think we've done 2 or 3 giveaways of Senia alone in the Discord, and she hasn't even been released yet.

Side stories in the WCA format take a ton of work. Heck, the latest H-scene in Senia's story took me 6 hours yesterday. I know a lot of people are rubbed the wrong way by the thought of paid DLC for a free AVN, but I think it's better to have paid extra content and keep the game completely free, rather than doing what a lot of devs do and putting a price tag on the main game once it's completed. We don't want to gate anyone out of playing the main game, and we like giveaways, so there should be plenty of opportunities for people who can't pay to enjoy most if not all of the DLC content eventually.
