I can't be the only one who's sticking around in this forum just for the drama, right? I'll probably still play the updates when and if any ever come out, if only for the sexy time, but that's definitely not why I'm still here

At this point, this thread is an artwork in and of itself. I does get a bit repetitive which is why I only check up on it like once or twice a month, but it's always a good bit of fun for like half an hour trace back the current discussion to the most recent bullshit excuse post. Just a fun distraction.

If I were a game developer, I would manage expectations by delaying releases by one full update. For example, say v0.3 is the most recent publicly released version. Then, I'd be working on v0.5 with v0.4 already 100% complete. I only release v0.4 once I complete v0.5, etc. to stay ahead. In this way, you never have to scramble to push out an update to meet a release date - you can release almost at your leisure without pressure.

Assuming he for whatever reason actually has some ready-to-release stuff lying around.

What is one more delay, even cobbled together with a pause of pledges? Your credibility isn't there anymore, people aren't expecting this one release to be different - so what can you gain by this one release being fulfilled as promised?

On its own - nothing - it can't match expectations regardless of what you do and how good it might be.
It also doesn't solve the problem of keeping stuff coming from right now on or how to keep the scam rolling without too much actual work needed that distracts you from spending your cash - whatever the situation might be.

But what if you delayed one more time, and then split up your stash and released 100 renders a week? You could pretend a good amount of momentum and consistency before you had to provide actual new content / the next excuse cushioned by your late new credibility and all the new unsuspecting Patrons you gathered in between.

Of course, for this to work there had to exist actual renders in the first place.

I think the best course of action for BD at this point is to quit. His patreons need to wake up and unsubscribe. I knew he would make up some excuse on the day of the supposed release. He keeps writing "feel sorry for me" posts and it's pathetic.

im sorry if i came off as a bit rude, but this is way too much. promising more than 2000 renders AGAIN and now we get this same story. Pausing pledges isnt gonna do shit for all the broken promises. i told you this 3 years ago, ppl who pledge to you do it to support you in making the game and its not always "release x amount of renders for y amount of money" so pausing pledges isnt gonna bring back the broken trust. It not about money everytime.

Being done with the game I get, I haven't even bothered with the last 2 releases.
But ignoring the best thread on this forum?? that's just a shame! this is quality entertainment, and if we're being honest - it's better than the actual game was even in his prime.

I had some hope that he would actually release it this time, but it's obvious he never plans on releasing it. There will always be something in the way and for some reason he is incapable of basic human thought processing.

Braindrop, if you somehow read this, release the update. Stop hiding behind excuses, stop using your fabricated mental block as an excuse, stop hiding behind your ginormous wall of self pity.
