On the topic... so, technically, the update should drop in like a week, as per the latest excuses, no? As MK should get it in 1-2 days now, but waits for BD to finish the adjustments before posting it. (Let's not get into the alter-ego thing, as that's a whole other fun ride.)

Any ideas why this will not drop?
I think we could actually start a betting pool for the next excuse.

The best part of WVM has became the forums and his excuses. I am still waiting for BD to post using the excuse. Some one broke into his house and stole his computer, but good news everyone he had it all backed up. So it going to be delayed by one week to give him time to restore the backup on another computer. Only to have him post at the end of the week that someone again broke in and his family is now being held hostage to keep him from posting an update. I mean it sounds like something he would post at this point

I said this before but if enough patrons drop off, he will have to keep doubling down on the lies until he gets totally off the reservation. No one thought he was "going to do anything stupid to himself." That's simply a manipulation, but who can be surprised at this point. Mackenzie here talks exactly like BD does, and uses the same kind of demented logic. There's no management going on here. We're just being catfished.

Problem is he gained 30 patreons the last 2 days.
His scam is working so more lazy people is gonna try and copy him.

"we havent earned anything" well excuse me, the last update you released was in october, now its 4 months after than. even if we consider the bare minimum he makes is 13000$ a month then it would be 52000$ in 4 months (bare minimum according to his projection and previous graphs) that's more than what most ppl make in a year. you cannot sit here and say you didn't earn anything. and what are you spending on?? assets? electricity?? that which ever dev has to spend while making fraction of the amount??

The human making this game is perfectly capable of hiring more humans. the ppl who are giving money are also humans, we are not robots printing money from thin air.

"He isnt asking for forgiveness" Asking for forgiveness is precisely what he should be doing. and how much longer ppl have to wait??

as for the pledges, its not about pausing or resuming. its about the lack of accountability thats the issue here. you cant always hide behind "mental health" or "IRL stuff" like family and send your huggers and bouncers to do the damage control, whiteknight or ban ppl for questioning you.

P.S: sorry for going on a rant here. this is the first time im like this on the forum, but this is just hard for me to see this game/ thread being mistreated and dragged around in the mud by BD and his ilk. Okay I think there is one thing just about everyone can agree on. No one believes BD doesn't earn anything for patreon and it is all put back into the game. If you expect us to believe that maybe you need some help too.

It's a metaphor. "Mackenzie" is saying that "she" knows they haven't earned anyone's goodwill and are wearing out everyone's patience by constantly breaking promises and lying.

What's really happening here is that Braindrop doesn't want to work so he makes up fake mental issues and ridiculous excuses. Now they're going to switch to "weekly" updates that are only actually weekly if you're at the highest contribution level. What Braindrop has done here is constantly delay this giant update (just like he did last year) and will now split it up and parse it out into smaller amounts so he can just release all his stored-up renders throughout the year without having to actually make new content. So now the only way to play the "weekly" updates is to give him more money. It also prevents people from cancelling their subscription as the only way to get the small amount of content each month is if you're paying him.

Well, the biggest problem is still Patreon or the other sites because they give no shit is someone is a Faker or not. Actually this sort of behavior should get Banned from this Support platforms. Atleast to help the "Too easy Trust People* because from alone many will never check that or even forgot bout that they pledged.

They will do it when there is proper reason to do it. Brainded is free to post allegedly scam posts and technically swindle his supporters until it is proven verifiably. Current milk train is eerily similar to 2021 when he kept delaying after the beta update. Currently we are in the phase before some people close to him might die and he falls into another massive depression cycle which will push further development to at least june or july. Estimated first chunk update of 2023 is August at the earliest. Adjust your pledges accordingly and keep the milk train running.

I am not as active on this thread as I used to be so I missed a lot of stuff. I can't really blame people for being distrustful. Devs are just normal people and shit can happen but that is next level. He is either making stuff up or he has been cursed by 100 gipsies.

As a previous poster pointed out, there is nothing stopping BD from subbing to his own Patreon with the money he has already made. But assuming that didn't happen, you also have to remember there are always going to be new people who see this game for the first time and think "Wow, this looks good!" But that inflow should get smaller if he continues this behavior while the outflow keeps growing. And you have to consider the turnover rate as well. I subbed to him in the middle of this drama not knowing how bad it was, and hung in WAY longer than I should have because I didn't get exposed to this history of neglect. If I just saw this game now as a new sub, I wouldn't make 1/100th of the time I did, I would have been a one month and done. And good luck recapturing the outflow audience, at this point they hate him more than they liked the game at its prime.

If patrons start doing chargebacks in large enough numbers, Patreon will care, trust me. Every chargeback is a tremendous amount of work for the company to undo. Even one is annoying. Thousands and they would probably punish him simply to lower the amount of work he'd be making them do.

I checked in on the game today and was as amused as I thought I would be. I saw a helpful post by a member named Uncle Loco. He had all of the posts by BD/Mackenzie from March 22nd of 2021 until yesterday. I checked the first one, and then another, and another. By the time I was on the 6th BD post I was laughing out loud. I decided that I would kind of curate a rough list of dates, excuses, release promises, and release sizes for anyone who wishes to read a condensed version of the past almost 2 years of this game's development. This is not 100% accurate. There may have been things I missed but this isn't an historical document. So sit back, grab some popcorn, and marvel at the endless drama that is TWO YEARS IN THE LIFE OF BRAINDROP (or TYITLOB as good ole BD would call it.


3/22/21 - Blurry eyes, hilarious explanation, expect release in 2 days. Size – 600+

3/26/21 - Unexpectedly his eyes have failed to heal, he will not 'fuck around' with his sight, expect release in 5 days. Size – 1000+

4/6/21 - Eyes almost healed, choosing to add renders, expect release in 3 weeks. Size – 1000+
