Why? I didn't finish this update yet but I like it. I am not a fan of what the dev has been doing but the game itself is one of my favorites.

Playing the victim again, as he is up for "70" PLUS HOURS.
Rushing to complete the renders that he supposedly already gave to Mackenzie, weeks ago, but that update should have already been out in NOVEMBER last year, absolute clown show.
Played through it, holding ctrl, another crap bare bones update, the girls look worse, Katie shocked me, looks like ass, but i don't expect much more from BD by this point.
This game is dead, but his valiant white knights will rush to his defense.
What the actual fuck is this, so fucking ugly, Katie looks nothing alike, surprised her ass isnt the size of a hot air balloon, but theres always the next chunk amirite.

I must have missed somewhere, but WHY does he put black boxes over the MC's face? It was funny when he would just crop the head out due to height differences, but this black box thing is the dumbest thing I have ever seen in an AVN! There's NO reason for it. Is it going to be a celebrity reveal? WTF?!

Thank you! BD is an adult and making money for this product. He owes it to his supporters and people who fund him to do the job he is being paid for.
I personally think at first he had plenty of ideas and likely had a lot less money and it was about the game and fans. Now that he realized he can make a lot of money off WVM, his focus went from keeping people happy and getting limited funds, to getting a lot of funds and leading people on to keep the money flowing while he does whatever. Speculation? Hardly as ICSTOR basically did the same exact thing as OEJ pointed out, and they are not the only two, just more blatant about it than most.
The updates now keep missing deadlines, the updates are half-baked and lack the previous quality, and if anything, he has a lot more money for better hardware, which is required as the most time-extensive part of making these games is the rendering. He should be able to churn out updates must faster, but he has learned that all he has to do is post on Patreon, give his excuses, and go about his day. His defenders take care of the rest and try to keep us at bay on here.

I recall several hundred pages ago, and I believe it was from BD's own mouth, that we couldn't figure out what the WVM acronym stood for. I thought for sure it was West Virginia Mountaineers. Of course, it wasn't and BD said we weren't close.
Well now that we fast forward to here, I feel like I'd like to take an out-of-the-box guess. I'm not going back to find those posts (too lazy to even search so there), so hopefully, no one has guessed this yet.
WVM, turned upside down (much like this game) is now WAM or WLM (if you use the Greek letter lamda). Well a quick acronym check reveals the following possible acronyms:
WAM - Walking Around Money, What A Mess, Work Avoidance Mode (I especially like this one)
WLM - Whole Lotta Money, Women Loving Man (changed from Men).
And I am sure there are more fitting ones, but what do you think? You think I'm on to something?

I agree with black Boxes. I actually dig a new look for Kate and a bigger cast is not an issue for me.

Yeah, because as the MC said, the fight was 1 week ago, but in that time, Katie had enough time to grow a few cup sizes, get a duck face (need to look the part to join the cult that follows the MC), and do enough squats to get tree trunk legs and a wide ass (like she has been training to become an Olympic speed skater for the past 20 years).
BD has permission to use the speed skater line as an explanation for Katie in further episodes... that would at least be plausible. Let's just hope that Katie doesn't surprise us and start peeling off body parts like in "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka".
Sorry needed to edit, the reply comes off a little combative and I was going for sarcasm. TBH, I actually like Katie's skin tone in this update, but I think the Katie model looked better before. If he wanted to give her that more edgy look while keeping the original model, but with the new skin tone I'd be ok with it (IMO).

That's quite a lot of 'work' (as in cosmetic surgery) for, *checks notes*, a whole two days of in-game time. A couple of piercings, a boob-job, a fake tan as well as a reverse nose-job to widen it. Or about nine months juicing (anabolic flavor). Unless the story has widened into also being a SF / Horror story (The Faculty:

That's my biggest gripe, Katie's original model had definition, freckles, moles, you know the stuff that every damn human has in some quantity. Getting a spray tan and (fake) piercings in 2 days time is plausible, but her body changing in proportion that greatly in so little amount of time is ridiculous. I get it's an AVN, it's all fake, developers change model looks between updates all the time, but seriously that's a big leap of faith we have to take right there.
If I hadn't invested in Jasmine, Willabelle, and Natalie, I would have removed this game from my watchlist. The plot has gone off the rails and I felt like there's no turning back for BD instead of doubling-down and adding more and more characters and making the harem more and more ridiculous. A remake of WVM would honestly be better at this point.

There is a right and wrong well to update models, and Katie is a prime example of the wrong way.
Look at "Shut up and dance" and "where the heart is" both games updated all their models, but didnt sacarfice the characters original look.

That's... golden syrup to his ears. He gets to repeat the same mistakes with another five years of income without doing any last-minute crunch renders. (If his cat doesn't throw up on his laptop, Mackenzie doesn't stalk him or aliens abduct him for being the world's greatest VN creator).
Almost as if the direction the game has been going has been designed to produce such a desire... wyrd.

Since "milking" is discussed so much here, you'd probably be interested in how the Big Cheeses do stuff like this: look into the story of Pepsi / Coke zero, or how Pepsi bought three fast-food chains to ensure market share against Coke. Spoiling a product to create demand for an old / current one (or "remake") is an old, old con.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
Couple of questions. If BD could keep a schedule would we rather have frequent small updates or longer updates that took a few months? Personally, I'd rather have larger ones that took more time like most VNs do.
Secondly, I think he messed up. OK, a lot for a lot of reasons, but particularly with this update, dramatically speaking. Having MC beat the thorns (or whatever they're called this week) so handily, basically by himself, removes any sort of tension from any basketball game going forward. To me, it makes more sense to have the Stars get handily defeated without MC playing and everything else being the same. Have them have to prove themselves over the season, then have a good game between the thorns and stars at the end of the season. 20 some odd points is a lot for one man to overcome, but evidently, MC is basketball Jesus?

Thanks to the people who posted the images and talked about what to edpect in this update. Saved me some download time.
Now, I see 2 major issues here:
- The girls' behaviour. Girls getting naked, sis screaming and attacking people. We know the game's plot is too fantastic at this point, but if the girls still behaved in a plausibly NORMAL way and not like crazy cult wives, i think it would balance the crazyness of the story. Examples: Eternum and the old version of Where it all Began.
- Black box. BD ran out of ideas to hide MCs face. At this point ot would be better to just show his face, cause the poses and scenes are become more challenging and we gonna.see the boxes everywhere. Other VNs have had 'character face reveal' before. Examples: Old version of WiAB.
