She does not look like a teenager to me? She doesn't look like 34 either, but I'd put her at least in the 25 to 30 range looks-wise

Her looks to me, point at an Arab origin, hence middle east. Maaaybe Indian or Pakistani? But that's not the vibe I got personally.

Maybe South East Asian (like I said Indian or Pakistani). Maybe with a large stretch, mixed Filipino? I'm mixed European/Indonesian (simplest version) myself, and have been mistaken for other origins due to ambiguous looks. She still screams Middle East to me though.

It seems unlikely that Rachel meant that as a precise longitudinal and latitudinal location; I sure it more of a hand wave but ok, if Tali was originally from Pakistan or Afghanistan then the antipode of those would be in the middle of the ocean but due south of states like Texas and Oklahoma. It's probably best not to be so precise about her actual origin though as that requires more cultural knowledge than a lot of westerners have, myself included.
Having read Krynh's post it's hard to argue that it's wrong, it just doesn't work for me
