I trust in Braindrop as a developer. I dont need some kind of instant satisfaction when Im on this site because I dont have a right to it. If I was working I would be a paid supporter of his now, but thats how it is right now. I dont have a single complaint about WVM and I have enjoyed everything he has done.

so to Braindrop I read your post on your Pateron. I know that pain and sadness that just doesnt go away from losing family. Just get yourself right and do what you need to do. your real supporters arent going anywhere.

Sorry, I'm late to the party again. Yesterday I read some comments here that were in response to the suggestion that BD is milking his patrons. I could not believe it. I play these games not as a replacement for porn, but as a replacement for the mind numbing games like Candy Crush that I was playing when I needed a break from working in my home office. Even so, I still view them as porn games. Since I would never watch a pornographic movie involving rape, I won't play a game with rape content. "A" will back me up on that ;). I'm also not a fan of NTR. When this game first appeared, I did everything I could to promote it. My goal was to make BD a role model for other developers and WVM a model for content. Specifically, I would like BD to one day be more successful than DPC. DPC first put that middle of the game trauma in his story that other games seem to copy. (I know he probably wasn't the first, but it is his claim to fame.) Anyway, on a couple of occasions I have made suggestions to BD on how he might increase his income. Not by any changing any content, but by changing things like the timing of updates. For example, I said that people tend to pledge after the new update comes out. If the update comes out right at the end of the month players may be hesitant to pledge because on the first they would be billed again (this was before the weekly updates.) Whenever, I made any comment to him about increasing his income; he always replied, "I don't care about the money." I posted on his Patreon page that I would have preferred that he not stop the pledges for this month. Most developers would not have stopped the pledges for a short break. His last weekly update was only two weeks old when he stopped taking pledges. How is it that Icstor has over 7000 patrons and hasn't updated in over six months, while BD gets accused of milking his patrons after a couple of weeks without an update?

MY OPINION!!!

i think that the game dev (DB) needs this time to himself and try to spend time that he has been missing out with his family and loved ones, i also think that he should make time for them when/if he decides to start back work on the game.. when/if he does start back he should really think about hiring an extra or even a small staff (if he gets more money) so that he only works 4/7 days in the week..

Yer welcome to yer opinion but he already shot that idea down cold when someone made the same suggestion a little less than 36 hours ago basically saying it would only add more stress not lessen it

No, the answer is not hire others.
This is a solo project and I have very few skills in managing others. And it's very difficult to find people that can handle my schedule.
And what if they fuck up? There's way too many ifs involved and way too many potential headaches for it to be heavily considered.

As a friend of BD's i may come off biased to some..but i can be honest..he's one of the hardest working most dedicated and feeling dev's there are...he puts his all into this and takes all the words of players and such to heart..f i had to list the top ten most dedicated dev's ever..he is on the list..near the top.

Guys, let Braindrop find a new schedule that doesnt drain him.

And if you think that new schedule doesnt suit you, go find another game (good luck finding one that updates as fast as this one) and thats it.

The previous schedule was completely insane, it wasnt sustainable, no one could have endure it forever

Totally agree here. BD should find his own inner equilibrium and surprise us with an amazing update when he is ready
