Hey Morbil since you love being a creepy lurker I'm sure you'll see this. Any comment on how your messiah supposedly did an entire day of play-testing and still missed 100 fucked up renders. That's about 20% of the update.
I already know the answer, but is he a liar or the stupidest fucking person on the planet?

Besides, the rework has been "in development" since before the year long hiatus. At this rate, even 10 years is a pipe dream

This confirms he's pure crunch mode when he finally looks at the calendar and sees the next release is a week away. That's why he keeps setting public release dates, so some part of him will actually feel compelled to get off his ass and do something. What I dont understand, and likely never will, is how someone that used to have weekly releases gets this lazy. I know some folks will say burnout but as someone that actually plays the updates, I dont think that's the case. He's trying to tell some kind of a story now (regardless of quality) when it's clear his brownnosers would be more than happy with a mindless fuckfest.
At the end of the day, maybe that's the issue? He failed miserably at getting his die hard fans to give a shit about anything other than what orifice MC will next drain his balls?

I think it's because the scope of the story has grown like crazy, and he has all these ideas he'd love to implement and share, but he can't even take the first step in a constructive manner.
Building the story, introducing new characters, continuing character development, making lewds bigger and bigger, everything involving the rework, trying and failing to fix the pacing, all of it. He can't figure out an effective way to prioritize and just DO the work. So he gets stuck in his head, feeling busy but doing fuck all.
And this is taking everything he says at face value

Just about everyone says shit went wild after the bowling alley event, and that's certainly true. Willabelle was introduced, Ryker attacks MC, Wendy shows up, I want to say Millie also arrived, which lead to fast-tracking MC knocking up Jamie, and it goes on and on from there.
I think once the game took off and got real popular, with tons of money coming in, he thought he could afford to take more time to refine the story, polish the visuals, beef up the harem (pun intended)—use his momentum to bring the game to a higher level. I'd wager the story about MC's mysterious background also ballooned out of proportion, which would require rewriting the first Season 1 to match. Probably thought "oh while I'm at it, why don't I remake the first episodes too, bring them up to scratch?"
It's similar to DPC's dev time increasing with every update—he improves his skills and equipment as time goes on, so he builds on the game more and more. Except DPC actually has something to show for all the time he takes.
My money is also on a workflow problem, I get the feeling very little planning is happening. I'm sure he's got an outline but it feels like its all just asspulls at the 11th hour. I certainly ain't buying the perfectionist bit, it could be part of it. I doubt the rework gets shoved back this long if that's truly the case. Not that I care about it much at this point, we've blown past anything that's too tied up in it by now. It does however, feel like a convenient excuse if one say hadn't started on the 4000 renders one had conjured from ones imagination for the sake of a tracker. The truly wild part is I imagine most people, might've cut him some slack if he was just honest.
