The thread has been on the site for 5 years which is a long time. It gets updated regularly (in the past of course... we all know how slow it is now). It's a harem game which is one of the most accessible genre/themes for a new player to erotic games. It makes sense why it's "liked" on the site.

I think it has more to do with the blandness and "same-ish" feelings of some scenes, and most of all, girls. But of course , yeah it's tied to the quantity. He could have done much more and better with less. Don't expect it to change. Imho the reason why it's a success despite being so mediocre, is precisely the ginormous amount of scenes and girls per 10 mins.

Nope you are not the only one, i think that there is too much sexual content and the fantasy element is too much, also MC supposed to be a high school basketball protege and has 0 dribbling abilities which makes this part of the game look ridiculous in my opinion
Few reasons for that, as mentioned prior, it's been on this site for like 5 years. It also started off really well and got a ton of support.. That translated into likes pretty easily. Takes no thought to Like a post, and most of the time, if the game takes a nose dive, most people won't go and take away their "like", which gives it a more false presentation of being better than it is.
Also need to keep in mind, most playing WVM aren't playing it for a deep story that is compelling. Most play it to read a silly story with an OP MC, who gets his pick of girls, and sometimes there is a little bit of basketball.
Side note and JMO, best way to search through games is weighted averages of the 5 star system, and use some tags to help narrow down what you want. Typically anything below 3 is a safe bet to ignore (that's been my experience at least, maybe there are a few that didn't get a fair shake). It is far more likely someone will go back and adjust a rating to be more reflective of what the state of the game actually is, rather than going off likes.
In one of my playthroughs i only focused on MC's girlfriends (Jamie and the best friend, forgot the name) and ignored all other girls and in that format the game was actually somewhat enjoyable, but in my other playthrough where i went for every girl possible i noticed it was basically constant sex scenes with little story in between, and there's a lot of girls in this game game to go through. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy sex scenes same as the next guy but too much is too much if the story is not there to support it in between those, at that point its just mindless fucking with no consequences, plot twists or any sense of realism. It also doesn't help that the dev has been stuck on this one episode for over a year now and has only released a couple of minor updates of each being maybe five minutes of new content

just mindless fucking with no consequences ???I mean if you had sex with Alexis at the restaurant's toilet's there is a possibility that MC becomes a father, also Rachel sex in the begining and the 3some with Eden if i am right about her name end up Rachel pregnant at Florida trip scenes... So no consequences ??? I would not say that , it's a miracle that the MC hasn't gotten any STD with all the sex he does without protection but consequences are there alright!!!

"13 should be out soon. I'm starting on 14," was 2023. Now we're almost at 2025 and the only difference is that he's got "most of 14" instead of just starting on it.
He was finished with 14 around february or march, but he had issues with 1 scene in 13. Then somehow the compiling issue affected everything, and he has to redo the whole update it seems. Or I don't know anymore what the excuse is for the ep14 stuff, just trying to make sense of the timeline he fabricates and modifies all the time (like his renders, allegedly).

So he's a year late for this set of "updates" that was supposed to be out a year ago last month and oddly we're still on Episode 13 which we've been on a think for that year stretch. This guy is the laziest Dev I've ever seen with other Devs either taking their time and bringing out a 4 hour at least update or keeps updating it every fortnight.
Then we have this idiot who can't even put out updates correctly that actually work and keeps panicking because even he knows this game is dead in the water at this point.
