He must have the most unstable chaotic life on the planet considering every other day there's some major crisis. Is he part of the Avengers?
How fuCKING DARE YOU MOCK HIS HIGHNESS!! How dare you minimize the atrocities he endures daily for his loyal subjects? You fucking nazi!

Imagine sitting on your ass all day while making thousands of dollars for absolutely nothing. What a dream. Minimal delivery, minimal communication, minimal effort. :LUL:

Joking aside, Braindead's cult is still not as bad as the cults for summertime saga and grandmas house devs.
The developer of "Grandma's House" has rightly earned his cult. He has never missed a deadline and even works on additional side stories. If I remember correctly, he even said once on discord that he always trys to keep an update in reserve, just in case something unexpected comes up or he wants to take a vacation.

You might think that sounds completely normal for someone who is self-employed and has their life and business under control, but well... What that says about BD, you can figure out for yourself.

Of course it's worse, at least when compared to Grandma. the title still deliver what it promises (even if stringing and milking people along with the grandma), even if it's rather dumb and shallow at times. WVM can't even stick to its own concepts, let alone a schedule.

Summer ? I feel WVM is actually on a similar path of idiocy and scams. But again the title is still far more ambitious and varied, even if both devs are insufferable right now. I'm not saying what it pulls is forgivable, but it is at least more defensible and palatable overall imo.

Both titles did legit earn some love and leeway in comparison to WVM, even if one of them ran out of goodwill years ago.

I think it's a mixture of people who are so desperate and deluded that they will believe anything Braindrop says and people who have forgotten that they are even subscribed to begin with. There's probably a lot of them that are at the lowest tier and aren't concerned with losing a dollar every month.

I don't want to throw cold water here, I don't, But I do want to!!

You sound like a typical hater, be realistic. The developer of Grandma's House does his job as expected and even a little more.

It's natural for people to trust him and support him, it would be strange if they criticized him like they did with BD despite doing things right, wait... Well haters will always find something they think they can criticize.

Being fair, MB was open early on that Nana was going to be a marker of the mid point, so everyone knew early days it would be a slow burn for her. I wouldn't classify that as milking, or stringing someone along. Stringing someone along would be more along the lines of "Maybe next release ;);)" from the get go.

I find the entire MB v BD comparison hilarious though. MB drops content on a set schedule, without being late, or making excuses.
BD can't even hit a small release, for content he claimed had been ready to go over a year ago.

Would the numbers fluctuate that much if the account was a vehicle for money laundering?

Just a thought

I can't believe I'm even remotely "defending" BD in anyway... well, it's not in defense, but I just wanted to point out that Grandma's House doesn't contain animations. Which, if the animations are done by hand that would increase dev time by a good margin. Even if they're imported through DAZ it would increase the dev time. If GH had animations, the turn around for updates would be a little longer.

The only positive thing I'll ever say about BD is on average, his quality of renders and animations in later episodes are pretty good, in comparison to other AVN's I've seen.

Ultimately, it's whatever works for the dev and their fans.

I understand that you say that "he won't try hard because the number of paying subscribers remains the same"...

but I think it doesn't make any sense. Logically, if he kept the same production pace as before, he wouldn't keep up with the current 3k, he would probably go from 7~10k paying subscribers.

so, deep down I believe that he is really facing problems, like bugs, difficulty in balancing time, personal problems, etc.

so, he is just stupid for not seeing the obvious, too proud to ask for help (or hire help), and overprotective of his own content... he only gets burned. he risks everything.

I think pointing out the animations is fair, and ya... it would add a lot of time overall per release for animations.

BUT

I don't think that takes away from the overall point, that, MB hits his deadlines.

If MB came out tomorrow and said "First of February going forward, I'm adding animations, and moving to monthly releases on the 1st".... Sure there is going to be some drop off from supporters... and he'll gain some new ones.... and he'll likely miss 0 dates.

Animations are a big difference (in the product), that make 0 difference (to the overall point every person in this thread has been making).

While BD makes promises saying 52/52, or once a month, or once a year... He misses it all.

I kinda disagree. On the part about it taking longer, sure of course .... however GH would still hit its target unlike WVM. Grandma's dev work ethics would still be the same. Not over-promising, keeping ahead of potential delays in updates, not scamming people, and still a better handle on pacing and writing in both fluff scenes and sex scenes. It's about work ethics.

Animations don't excuse anything going on with WVM. Nor even better renders. There are other titles doing both with better schedule and quality
