With the constant lying he deserves to loose more...I can't understand why people are so comfortable with lying and continue to do so even when their "Livehood " is in danger..I mean I am not a developer so I can't pretend I know much about the workload but he gambles with his earnings when he could be honest from day one and commit to a schedule and follow through with it...
