Probably not, it's still a nice income to have for not working. Not counting annual discount or patreon fees, it's a minimum of $ 2,600 a month, but I'm pretty sure that a lot of patrons are of a higher tier.
It's not enough to support someone in the US, but I wouldn't mind that kind of extra cash on the side for creating a new excuse every 2-3 months.

True, but it's a nice extra if he also has even a "normal" part time job. But like I said, it's a minimum of $2,600. It wouldn't surprise me if about 50% of the patrons are at least of the $ 5 variety.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, because I've been ignoring this thread for months, but from what I see, the same problem has persisted since then: updates that don't please anyone, and a game that went from being incredibly popular to now being a meme for a large part of its original community. I think Braindrop's problem is that he's irresponsible, and I'm not saying this as a criticism, I'm saying it as a proven fact.

I'll try to explain. If he has health problems, of any kind, the most logical and responsible thing to do, with his game, his credibility, and his community, is to finish the game no matter what and continue it when he's feeling better with a sequel, Chapter 2, or whatever.

The problem is that he's constantly bathing in a sea of excuses, and it works for him, because an even bigger problem is the community he has, and here I can partially understand some of them (although fewer and fewer) who, out of pity, continue to support him in the hope that he can be treated.

In short, if he were respectful and responsible, he would end an increasingly problematic project, and his choice should be one of two: he should start from scratch with a sequel, or he should open the door for someone more active, more driven, and less prone to indecision to continue the game.

But money is a mighty knight.

My friend, I don't know how long you are in here or played WVM so i will speak for my self only...I signed up here on May 1st 2023 WVM was the second AVN/Porn game i played, back then BD released an update every 2 weeks... with not much failing in releasing... at some point he started to be radio silent, use excuses and keep making promises that he can't or does not want to keep, many in here had said that he could just give the game to someone else to finish it if he can't keep working on it for whatever reason...He tried to turn his porn game (his words) to a story based game...As for the guys that still support him, In my opinion they do it because they want the game to complete, but to be honest I don't see that happening any time soon with how BD is acting so far...

I subscribed to Patreon the first month he made excuses, which also seemed generic. So it's the only month I paid him and will pay him. Time has proven me right. But yes, basically what you say is what I think. He likes money more than the computer, despite choosing his profession. What I emphasize is that his attitude is explained by those who still pay him. As in many examples in this life, if he were short of money, he would have less time to think of empty excuses.

My oldest build/download of WVM is dated 7/13/2022.I am not sure of the specific timeline, but sometime in my first year, he switched from one big update, to serially releasing smaller updates on a regular basis. That lasted I believe until the end of 2023, with several missed updates, and an incrementing list of excuses. As time passed, the updates became fewer and further between. The excuses became somewhat repetitive. I believe there might have been a release in April this year, looking at my time stamp, although here it shows May. My WVM experience mostly consists of posting stuff here, sometimes whining, sometimes attempts at humor. The waiting sucks, let's just hope this isn't another AOA academy waiting to happen. I can't remember how long I waited for an update of that one, only to find that the Patreon was abandoned (and the game has the tag as well)

Too bad there's not a marketplace for burned out creators of AVNs where someone with the time, ability, and resources could take it over. As creative as I've seen Fan Fiction over the years, I'm sure someone could come in and at least finish *a* story (even if they don't have *the* story available to them).

Nah, he claims he actually worked on the game this month.
zero proof and a spotty track record is obviously good enough to whoever decided to still pay the guy after, what, 4 years of scamming?
On August 4th 2025 made a dev report on Patreon saying he is working on the game, personaly i don't believe words but he also posted a few preview photos...someone repost them here as well

He definitely is making more than 10K each month.
That is more than enough to support you.
Not defending BD in the least.

I was going to write out a full explanation with broken down cost structure, because I've done the self-employed gig lifestyle in the past, and also done all-in costing for software development, but figured no one would bother to read it.

Patreon reports income, so you get hit with self-employment taxes, then have to cover all the stuff your employer covers that you don't think about(health insurance, etc). Most people have no clue, but since it factors into my costing efforts, I know that overhead is over $50k a year for my current job. Deduct all the costs for proper rendering rigs and all the assets needed for every new setting for a scene, or an outfit change, and $10k a month in revenue as a primary job is still poverty level in the US if you are supporting a spouse and/or kid.

Sorry to comment, but despite your comment, which is completely correct, I'm self-employed, and hours not worked are hours of unearned money. So even though he has to pay taxes, he doesn't have any responsibilities.

That's exactly what bothers me about many of the creators of this page, because BD is far from the only one.
