Poor Kim... Isn't that like 1 vote overall? I think it's hard to come back from her initial introduction.

I am not a big fan of characters that leave a relationship, but the blame is put on a third person.
exactly brother

She's not my girl, and I don't hate her

And I understand why she did what she did she was afraid

for the MC's life

But even though I understand that I don't forgive her, I don't forgive people who leave

which is ironic because this game is about ex-girlfriends who left the MC at some point

And personally, I believe that nothing is more important than

the woman you love

and your relationship

soo for me the relationship that pisses me off the most is the relationship between Kayla and mc

I find it absolutely ridiculous that they prioritize their relationship with the MC best friend over fighting for their love

I mean if Kimberly were dating my best friend I'd be like fuck that guy you're mine

Correction I just remembered it made sense because of the MC's mental issues

the MC has a problem fighting for what he wants. I hope he resolves that issue

I'm generally not a fan of MC's being in a relationship when I start a VN, with few exceptions.
I like to choose who I want the MC to be with, that's the most fun part of playing them for me. So when Kim left I was happy rather than sad, which I guess was the feeling that we were supposed to feel. Then when she suddenly returned I was disappinted I can't lie.
I agree, I tend to dislike when the MC enters a story with a pre-existing girlfriend because there's no telling if I will like her as a player and if I don't, the MC will look neurotic as he immediately 180s on her. The only exception I can think of is Hannah in Between Two Worlds and I think even that was more of me taking a liking to Hannah than liking the situation.

As for bowl cut Kim, streets.

I also hate when the game gives you a forced girlfriend you didn't ask for but in the case of yesterday's Crossroads I think

it doesn't count or it's perfectly fine because you break up with her at the end of the prologue

sooo my opinion it doesn't matter if the game gets you a girlfriend if the relationship ends before the game begins

or if it ends extremely early in the story before you start any other relationship so you're not a cheater

so in my opinion it's a non-issue

I agree except about the part about it being a non-issue, since she came back, it very much became an issue. If she was gone permanently, and was just a footnote in the MC's past he's trying to recover from, then I'd agree she would be a non-issue.

The thing with preexisting GFs / ExGFs in games is, I will either feel bad at cheating at them which means I will ignore the other girls, or I will hate them for breaking the relationship and thus will probably avoid giving them a second chance other than maybe friends route depending on how we broke up.

Very few games can make it work and put them on the same level as other LIs.

For me, it's a non-issue because she's just another ex-girlfriend of the MC

In fact, I believe 90% of the characters in this game are ex-girlfriends or had a relationship of some kind with the MC

And just like all the other relationships in the game, it's completely up to the player if they want to continue anything with her or not

Yes, she is a character in the game, no matter what, but you can just choose to go to work, come home, and ignore her completely

In my opinion, this game gives you the best monogamous relationships of all visual novels

I've seen games with terrible monogamy roots, and everybody seems to give those games a pass

well to be fair brother when I fall in love with a girl I don't care about the other characters anyway

all I care about is that one girl for the entire game and the rest of them can die

If Kim had stayed away sure, but in the last episode we were pretty much forced due to the main story to spend time with her on the business trip. This was reduced a bit with the remake compared to the original version but you cannot simply ignore her.
From the look of the previews it seems like we are also going to be roped into helping Kim and her sister escape their apparently psycho father. Despite not really having a reason to care about that anymore or a reason to put yourself into danger if he is indeed as dangerous as Kim says.

You are Kim's direct supervisor and she's impossible to ignore. I know your stance on most of these VNs but in this case, some interaction with her is forced. It was even toned down somewhat after feedback.

This isn't me trying to critique Chaq's work, I'm simply expanding on what (imo) is part of the reason Kim is so disliked.

well to be fair I don't really pay attention to the previews unless Kimberly's in it

I can understand people's frustrations, but maybe the game is not forcing us to be in a relationship with her

Maybe her story is part of the main part, and we accidentally get dragged into her problems

it does happen in movies and TV shows, it

and again it's just previews. Maybe it's not what we think

And to be fair, it's not just heard the MC seems to accidentally get involved in other people's problems throughout the entire game

It's quite common in visual novels, and it's not like the developers forcing us to be romantic with anybody

Of course, brother, we all love the game, and I do enjoy this back and forth

It's just for me, I don't see an issue, at least for now. I go to work, I come home, I spend time with Kimberly, that's it

Yeah I expect that we'll help all the LIs out, romantic route or not. Otherwise seeing some scenes wouldn't make any sense, such as Julia's ex and that lawyer, the one kid that has a hard on for Michelle, etc.

To add onto your other comment, I too like going to work, going home, and fucking Kimberly.

I don't mind seeing any content with any LI even if I don't have an interest in them or dislike / hate someone. As I don't like it when a character disappears from the game if im not on their path. So I do like the idea of helping Kim with her father stuff for story reasons but nothing romantic.

Only if I get her dad's company in exchange so I can sell it off.
