I advise uploading any SWF files to swfchan while GIFs, MP4s, PNGs and JPGs to rule34 boards.

Also where do you intend to "store" all the torrent files, and index them ? Becasue we need to know what each file is for, since we can't just create a like 30 terrabyte (would be even more tbh) torrent, with all content !? (i really like the sound of that idea just for the fun of doing it, but i thinks it's impractical as hell...)

now look at a server.

Pros:
- "100%" uptime, and the stuff (even the super niche one) stays available, as long as the website /server does
- People with decent speeds, arent held back by the bad connection of others. (no offense, i only have a "ok" connection myself)
- we can easily update everything, add a simple search function, add tags to creators, and also have the option to "show similar creators" that might show you your next favourite creator, that you dont even know yet.

and also, if we get into legal trouble with a server, we could just turn it into either tor only, or just unlist it (effectively putting it in the "darkweb")

Cons:
- Website saves data, like: IP, DNS etc. etc. etc.
- Cloudflare runs 100% stable all the time and has a 100% uptime (not)
- might get region blocked, juts like nhentai did in france
- has running costs (unless we find someone with his/her own server)

A) discord will ban the server when they notice it, they have done it before
B) many people cannot join a discord due to the lack of multiple account support. Can;t have your boss seeing you on a porn server if you forget to manually log out and in again one time. I know one person who already lost a job over things like this.

We need a real website.

But regardless of that, if you get caught on a porn site while you're at work you're a fucking retard to begin with. Not a valid argument for why Discord isn't a viable site. That's equivalent to saying, "Nintendo making a handheld console is bad because if I get caught being a dumbass playing it at work I'm gonna get in trouble." That's the dumbest fucking shit I've ever heard in my entire crappy life :ROFLMAO:

there is a maximum number of members you can have on Discord, the limit is 250k while partnered servers have 500k but i seriously doubt you can ever become partner with such a server, you can find everything

Even though some content wouldn't get posted couldn't people just use rule 34? Most people used yiff.part for porn so it wouldn't make too much of a difference. If people when they posted just tagged the artist that would work.

Although you could use r34 it would still be easier to find specific artists on a website dedicated to patreon or similar services. Plus you get the content that isn't released to places like r34 on a website like yiff

I personally used YP primarily for a Skyrim mod by Dogma Mods titled "Thief" and some r34 artists like Cowboy Tanaka or pewposterous.

The other two I can deal with, but the mod can not be salvaged until a public, slightly limited version comes out weeks later. I checked the discord serversbut neither had a category for such things, or even an available suggestion box. I hope things get back to normal in the near future.

I followed transformation artists like Manic but without the site I can't get stuff like that anymore.

Not at all actually, unfortunately I am a bit late, but Hydrus is an opensource archiver and there is/was a Yiff.parter parser available on a github somewhere

Isolation is about more than a separate account, it's about SUPPORTING separate accounts with things like default behavior settings, hidden items, etc.

That is true, but trade offs are basically the core of piracy as it stands. You deal with potential virus sites, you wade through the sewers of crap content, all so you don't have to pay to get access to something. In this case, you would deal with a highly inconvenient discord so that you can run an underground data scraping service. Also, fun note, I do have a burner discord account, the discord program does not check for login cookies/tokens in your browsers so you can have several active discord logins on one computer. Very useful to have.

To be honest I never liked their UI, thought it was shit and things were too slow to load. I never did bother to have a go at writing something better, but now that it's gone I'll maybe make a start.
