For those of you with this issue: I encountered this on Win11, and it was because I had installed the game itself in the EN locale. When I uninstalled (which was a pain, and involved manual regedit hacking), and then reinstalled from the mounted image using Locale Emulator, the game now runs fine.

Basically the "script file not found" issue occurs when the file name and path for the script in question are not correctly saved on disk, because the game was installed in the wrong language.

(There may be other reasons for this error, but the solution above worked for me at least.)

Is there a direct downlood link, the site just offers crap when trying to access any of the links
Eventually, after jumping through enough hoops you will get to the game download, but you could just go to the dicord of the group that translated it and get it from there. has their Discord link as well as other projects they work on related to the series. It's just the patch though, game not included. You'll need to get the game first, then patch it in. So, if you want to avoid the extra work, I'd keep trying the link.

Hi, I posted a request for help last week and so far nobody has responded.

Since you have obviously had success in getting the game to run (it must be working better than mine if you are able to see the "New Game" menu), do you have any clue as to why I can't even get it installed?
Please see my post right above this one, also linked here:

I thought the download on this forum was already converted to English, so why is the setup showing garbage characters?
I don't think the main download is localized - it's the original japanese version, and you're supposed to install it and then install the English patch to localize it. The specific garbage in your screenshot looks like an encoding issue; I'm not familiar with Locale Emulator and not sure why it would cause that.
There again, I'm afraid I too am failing to install this game, for issues that I think are unrelated (I'm trying to run it in Wine, and the installer ends up asking for the nonexistent third data file).

I've managed to install this game. The way I did it was giving up on this download (it doesn't even work for me on an actual Windows system, so Wine wasn't at fault; no idea what kind of voodoo one needs to make it work).
Instead I grabbed a torrent with an already-installed version of the game from Sukebei, the [Fuwanovel] Yosuga no Sora (Partial Patch) one. Now, that download is ancient, which means the English patch there is pretty bad - but you can solve that by simply applying the modern version of the English patch on top of it. The game version is I think the same, 1.00.
I haven't played all that much for now so I don't know if this approach is issue-free, but at the very least it launches fine in Wine and plays.

The only problem with me is black screen opening movie and non-changeable 640x480 windows size.
Maybe it's codec problem (because this game is designed for Windows XP).
Otherwise it's plays fine.

With Wine? Set variable LC_ALL="ja_JP.UTF-8" before installing this game. This download working fine for me.

I did do that and that lets the installer run but it doesn't succeed - at the end it requests a nonexistent third file. Last time I tried researching it I found a thread suggesting it's an obscure Wine regression. Which Wine version were you using?

(that said, the fact I also got the same issue on a real Windows system probably suggests it's not at fault...)
