I feel the same way about arena. It's trying to be a serious combat game with sex being a very secondary mechanic. Maybe someone likes that, but Idk why you wouldn't just play an actual, well designed and fun action game at that point and then go fap separately(in whatever order you want
). But I guess it's a good way to test the balance of the overall game.Even though the story is very barebones and unfinished which can seem shallow taken at face value, you can use it as a canvas for playing the game the way you want using tools like suspense of disbelief, imagination, roleplay and immersion. When I'm playing Yuna, I'm playing actually a somewhat different game than maybe the dev intended. For example, in my game's world (also thanks to cheats) simbs get very horny from mc so when they grab you, at that point they will always try to just rape, not caring about hurting or killing you. Even though dev added some dialogue, cigarettes etc, *I* decide what MC actually thinks, what is her character and personality, how that character develops being pure'ish at the start, to being more slutty later etc, or how she doesn't smoke etc. I play my own character and I don't care if it's not intended.
That's how you enjoy it. You play story mode as a canvas and use game abstractions there to your advantage for roleplay and headcanon. Suffice to say, story mode is a lot better for all of that than arena.
This might be a bug but I actually like that when you complete the medicie quest, it resets and you can do it again infinitely from now and then. It's like a daily quest, as if that girl remembers/uses some intel to locate more. "feature, not a bug" haha.
According to patreon link, he makes almost 2k a month. Now idk how that translates to actual money after taxes/other beurocracy trash, but that should be very good money for 1 person. He could absolutely afford to do a 1-2 time hire for a decent writer to expand on the plot and story, basing off of his lore if he doesn't have some bs expenses in his life. But I don't think it's even necessary. If you play this primarily as a porn game, then it just needs to be not complete trash, and make some sense and somewhat interesting to progress through. Make more side quests that reset or have some random element, and story mode will have a long gameplay span. Some quest elements from games like skyrim.
