Hi,
In the "Useful Garbage" quest, I have to find Derek, but I've looked everywhere and he's nowhere to be found. The quest is bugged or has anyone already found him?

From what I remember Derek is in a corner shack across the bridge. Should be as far left as you can go after the bridge if you are heading from your house.

So what are the ammo types the workbench don't really say.

The ammo types seem to be very basic: Tier 1(Tan/Brown), Tier 2 (Green), and Tier 3 (Black) and .... that's it.

There is no 'armor piercing' or 'incendiary' or any other type, you just have weak damage bullet, mid damage bullet, and high damage bullet.

On a side note, does anyone know what the Rifle Grade skill is or does? Same question for bullet grade.

Honestly, this version isn't that bad. It's good to see that Alex is opening the scope and trying to flesh out the world. With the addition of npcs, I can see human sex and maybe prostitution being added down the line. Maybe even a tavern job with the new bar??

Idk, I'm a patron and he said that the removed quests and mechanics will return, he's just touching them up. So I don't think there's a need to worry about the game being "downgraded".

My only true gripes are the forced arenas and the map being so... Cluttered. It's really hard to find certain quests because going straight to the markers do NOT work. And having to clear out arenas just for traversing the map is a pain.

I'm using the patreon version and it has a h mode. (Not sure if it's included in the free version) And it makes arenas a nightmare because you just get sex locked.

I agree. The forced Arena when traversing the map is annoying. I'm playing beginner diffculty and if it wasn't for H mode. You would run out of armor and die immediately. My current solution is just turn on infinite ammo and mow them all down when enter the arena.

Idk, I can beat arenas no problem without H mode. It is a pretty big resource sink, tho.
Just make sure you have some skills and over 100 ammo saved up.

Good lord! I wish I could beat those arenas with just 100 ammo or so. My aim is crap and I can end up dumping 5 or 10 rounds on a single enemy to kill it.
They go down pretty quickly if you shoot them in the legs, but the bloom on the aiming reticle from firing is pretty harsh. I usually end up spending something like 150-200 rounds of ammo, but it feels so damn satisfying to wipe those fuckers out in the arenas.

The bloom is a problem at first, but it's a significant difference once you get accuracy skills in the cold-blooded tree.
Pair that with crouching and crafting a sight - you're a laser.

I tried the new version. Some cool and interesting things and changes.

But some very bad ones like being able to change your clothes only at home again.
In H mode if someone tries to grab you, it seems like it's a guarantee catch, I wasn't able to evade it even moving far away very fast. It was much better in the previous version.

So definitely not worth if you preferred the story mode, especially since we had access to cheats in the last version.

Problem is I just want to go to the marker to do objectives. Not to do arena and wasted few hundred ammo. You can't even rush it because you can't open the door when enemies are nearly so you have to kill them all. This is very difficult if you just starting the game and have no skill, resources.

Well, yeah! Wouldn't it get pretty boring if you were just allowed to rush, or kill armies as you please as a fresh player?
It's not meant to be easy, that's why you gotta get stronger by leveling and gathering resources.

But it is included. You can literally complete all quests, boss fights, etc. with sex; how is that not being "within the main gameplay loop"?
If you want to interact with the game through H content only, just do it.
You can make a full sex build, alternate between it, or not at all.
It's like saying Skyrim's one-handed skill tree isn't in the gameplay loop despite it being an option for you to choose right there.

You are right but also wrong. This is nowhere near a complete game and as we can see changes can be quite drastic with each new version. There's just no real reason to force people to go through something that will be changed a million times. This should be optional for those who want to experience game as is and others should be able to just test things and explore and see what's new without wasting hours and hours grinding recourses and lvl. And you can't even transfer saves which only makes it more annoying to go through all of that each time. (well, i guess that's where cheats in patreon version come into play)

By the way, is these masked dudes in this version at all? Couldn't find them anywhere.

The changes were not that drastic before this one. And saves - I believe the old and new one share some common loot and melee skill tree, everything else got changed. Armor, weapons, out of 5 skill trees - 3 were changed completely, and 1 was slightly updated, yuna progression also has been changed. So there almost nothing left to carry over. Before that saves were good from version to version. And the dev said he'll finish the game in about a year, so I believe there will be no drastic changes to the character progression in next update that would require new save files. Enemies are all pretty much the same, encounters could be balanced, but I doubt balancing count's as changes. Besides you won't know how to balance properly if you won't force players to play without cheats. Some people find that's not hard to clear the arena, and some unload whole mag to kill only one enemy. And some are just can't even read the tutorial or check the game control settings to find out which button to press.

But yea, the cheats available in the patreon version can help reduce the impact of certain bugs and lost progression.

Masked dudes ? If you talking about armored fucks than these are spawned with "Clear" bounties.

at least skillpoints are not limited like PoE. you can literally get all of them eventually, either by cheating or grinding like a madman.

Horn said in discord and patreon that he rushed the update because of blackouts and some things are temporary.

H mode is made for fap only. You can press V to surrender. I don't know what kind of game you are playin with old H-mode where enemies just run after you, can't attack and use grab as only interaction with MC. Are you playing hard to get or what ?
