That part of the free roam in the mansion is well done. I remember seeing the items at the top left and thinking there was a bug because one was missing when you start, but then the reason for its absence was explained

I just finished the update and there's alot of ideas I didn't understand
What was maries plan to begin with ?was it for caleb to become the vessel of the endless? Why does he need the eyes for that also? And why does she need him on a pact?
Also what was that compulsion spell she placed on Caleb?
And Was Marie sold to the endless the moment she killed invictus ?and couldn't she have given the endless any vessel to save herself from being taken over by it why is she focusing on caleb?
With the ending you focus on Alice what did Caleb do at the end did he kill the void feeding on Alice?
Did he just inherit the eyes then kill himself?
Even if he killed himself that wouldn't have solved the problem which is the endless taking over Marie's body.
And btw she also mentioned that he is her brother is it just that she sees him that way?

Yes, it's possible. I think all you have to do is hangout with her when given the opportunity and
1. Don't slap her
2. Dont hurt her in the second encounter.
This has always been enough to save her

Her plan was for Caleb to get the eyes and then put him on a pact, so she has someone who can probably stop the endless under her complete control, the compulsion spell was her trap to make him accept.
I believe she was pretty much sold the moment she joined the cult, she was always going to be the vessel considering she is probably the strongest candidate not named Caleb.
Caleb is just the strongest possible vessel and probably the one the Endless ideally wants the most, but if that happened he would probably be just unstoppable.
He saves Alice by taking her place so he will end up dying and Marie won't be able to go with her plan.
I think she says it downright.

So I'm just starting this - still only at day 2 but so far the only one I like is Alice, and maybe Rayne - maybe but only if the Succubus part can be removed/shut down (and by like I mean I find the rest of the characters so far annoying). Should I continue or move on to a different game?

Well that's more on you I think, are you enjoying the story atleast? I would say wait until finishing chapter 1 and if by then you are not invested then move on.

I had issues with the first two days myself. Some of them were solved, some of them remained. But the third day was great and chapter 2 completely hooked me. So if by the end of chapter 1 you're still don't like it I'd recommend just move on.
