I was afraid the game was walking through the exact same formula what made the first one work but it shows signs of evolution. I can see this is going to be one hell of a ride.

Does Sirens read these comments on f95? I think the mc looks is very "displaced", he looks like he was doing some cosplay lol, this (his atual look) should be some extra stuff, at least people would stop grumbling about his looks and his look would make more sense if he was just wearing casual clothes... Well, game is still in his early, i hope this game will be better than ZR1, he will just need some polish in the future...

I doubt he does reads the comments here. I mean getting feedback on the site that doesn't officially support him would be odd. Besides the input that should have the most weight is from the ones who actually pay him. At least that how I see it. But on the topic of the MC, apparently he was supposed to be more like Cloud but with black spiky hair and a thin build. Which explains the outfit looks the way it does. But I am pretty sure everyone sees Sasuke rather than a character inspired by Cloud.

I doubt there is going to be a redesign since chances are scenes have already being made with the current outfit in mind. So I guess we will just have to learn to live with it.

Well, if i was a dev, i would like to read a lot of reviews and ideas about my game, this way i could organizer my ideias while getting more ideias to my game. One thing i would like to have in this game is a better animation, i dont know about types of animation, but the newest ones in Sex Note are one of my favorite, i think the others dev should see that and apply in their game, but i think it needs a lot of time to make, but the result is really good and make the game gain more quality. Animation is something really important in the games, after history, in my opnion, and graphics too, since is a porn game xD. Well, if he improve in this 3 things and in gameplay the game will be a master piece, since zombie theme has a good demanding in "porn games industry" lol

edit: if he is really inspiring in Cloud, he could give him a buster sword instead a club XD (he will probably put a club or a knife in this game, ways have a melee weapon.)

While I agree getting the most feedback from various sources is good, we get stuff that non paying members are not supposed to have. So I having a lesser voice is the price we pay. Or rather I don't want screw up the good thing we got going here. :whistle:

Since you mentioned weapons what to do about melee weapons and the zombies is currently in open debate over at his discord. The problem with melee weapons is that the club in ZR1 was way too useful. There are currently 3 ideas going around.

1. Durability system - A club would be good for 10/15 hits a sword would be good for 20/25 hits. When they dull you spend a resource to fix it ex wood or metal respectively.

2. Increase in the attack lag - So you could do 3 or 4 quick hits but each point on the stamina gauge would take a few seconds to comeback.

3. No change from ZR1.

Option 1 is looking to be very unlikely (thank God) but option 2 and 3 are up in the air. People are just brainstorming at the moment so its not like anything has been decided.

As for the zombies changes to the re spawn mechanic is being considered. As well as having zombies drop resources and if do what resources. The tentative idea is to have zombies re spawn in batches. One its a select few zombies the other days its another batch. The time it takes for them to re spawn would be extended since there would be more locations.

In regards to zombies dropping rewards, the popular idea at the moment is to not have them drop crafting resources, but make them the main source of collecting Z (money). Thoughts?

hmmmmmmmmmm, thats good, i think its possible to use all options, i dont know if he is going to put difficult modes, like in the ZR1, if he put it he could do something like:

1- Easy: no durability and no stamina, would be like the club in ZR1
2- Normal:no durability, but it has stamina.
3- Hard: durability and stamina.

I think this is a good way to put this ideias in the game, of course, he will have a little bit of time wasted to put this things, but the game will be better then just one option in all modes (if he is going to put this modes). I would play the hard mode of course, just like in ZR1.

And talking about the zombies, i think he could do something like:

1- Easy: Will have less zombies in map and they can re-spawn and after killing a zombie inside the builds he will never get back.
2- Normal: Will have a normal amount of zombies and they can re-spawn in the map and zombies will re-spawn inside the builds if a certain number of zombies are still in the area of that build. (ex: in the area has 10 zombies, if you kill a zombie the zombies are gonna be reset after 2 days and in the build if you kill a zombie he is gonna reset just if a X number of zombies are outside of that build, and just they ones that are in the area of that build, are alive, after 4-5 days.)
3- Hard: Same thing as the normal, but here will have special zombies (more difficult zombies or with some abilites or high speed) in the map will have more zombies and they are gonna reset all the time, like, in the next day going to have all zombies back, and inside the builds, we could reset in 2-3 days)

About the zombies drop,i think water and money could be okay to be the zombie drop. Like, food i think just if its gonna be canned food, i think would be stupid to eat organic food droped by a dead zombie body XD.

And the drops could be variety by they type of the zombie, like a police zombie could drop bullets, a normal zombie could drop just money, a zombie that is inside a market could drop money, water and canned food... etc.

Most of the replies in this very thread are incredibly irrelevant to anything related to the game. If I was a game-dev I really wouldn't like to trawl through "Save please" and "Does this game have heels" and other such nonsense.
Yeah, I think the world (and this forum) would be better without the endless asinine comments of newbies asking for things in broken or quickhand English, or asking for help without using the search bar and doing some work (pisses me off when the answer is literally 1-2 posts above theirs, lol).

But I agree; I doubt Siren's gonna be checking this thread. Not because they won't get feedback, but because some of the posters are basically like spambots here.

It feels like ages ago but it's only been a week since the public release of Zombie's Retreat 2 - Beta 0.1 went live. If you're new here, you'll learn quickly, this train doesn't stop. It's time to start looking forward to the next update, Beta 0.2!

Beta 0.2 is going to be mostly the 'second half' of the initial Beta 0.1 update.
- NSFW Content -
This update will finally bring about some real NSFW content to Zombie's Retreat 2. The focus is going to be on the START of both Meredith & Jenny's stories. I imagine their stories will be longer than most characters so everything can't be fit into one update. They will likely need 2 or 3 updates just to go from start to finish. I plan to spread these updates out amongst other characters to have some diversity in each update.
There was 0 NSFW content in Beta 0.1 because I felt cramming that content would be heavily rushing the character development & build up to those scenes. I was surprised that I personally never read any negative responses to this decision. Thank you for understanding! You won't have to wait much longer to get some action going in Crimson City ;)

- Rescuing Women -
Currently, no women are able to be rescued and recruited. I plan to add a survivor or two in this build to start working on that feature. These characters won't have NSFW scenes yet but that will all come in due time as certain updates will focus on these characters in particular.
One thing I'm a little undecided about is how to go about the Motel. I was thinking maybe when a woman is rescued and moves in, her door becomes custom theme to match. This may make it easier for players to know where each woman is staying. If you have other ideas to help solve this issue (rather than each door being blank) let me know!

- The Grid -
The last main thing I want to focus on is the true implication of The Grid. I got around to the basic mechanics in the previous update but I wasn't able to implement it all in time. With Beta 0.2, I want to make some of the early facilities able to be constructed. This will include Fiona's Workshop as well as likely a Garden & Water Supply system to help players start building sustainable resource gatherers.
Once the early functions of The Grid are added, I think this will really set the groundwork for the potential of this mechanic. Players should start getting a glimpse at some of the creative freedoms that this base will allow. The goal is to make it quite a big step up from the base building in ZR1 and hopefully go a little above and beyond what some would expect from a hentai game haha.

That's about everything for this update. It's a bit of a quicker one but this build still has much work to be done. In future updates, I'll start sharing some teasers of NSFW scenes as well as unveiling some new characters!

Can be played without ever played the prequel ?
i think you can, but if you have time, play de ZR1 to understand more about the history, its a simple but good history in my opnion. Like the other comment said, the dev will put something linked with the first game.
