So... May I ask: when will we see a new content update for Hot Dating?
I find the idea of the game appealing from any point, but the most great thing is that easy to adding new content. Shame, we don't have much of it from the first release! Hope that soon we'll have regular updates to fill the game with much more content! Thanks!

Honestly I'm not sure, I wish I could give a definitive answer. Still working on a lot of the engine itself and the idea is to be able to release regular content updates after that point. I won't say it's been easy for me, but I have been learning different topics relating to game and systems development, and general story telling methods, so I am confident in myself in providing some great content, provided that I can get this engine ready. I know that those who have been following/supporting the game are probably losing some faith in the project, and I don't blame anyone for that; all I can do is stay honest about it and let you all know that:

1. I have genuine intentions to release great content, moving forward
2. Development IS underway on the engine (I haven't stopped working on any aspect of it, but yes things have slowed/been slow)
3. Story HAS been worked on and I hope you'll all enjoy the changes (one aspect of the engine is to help me organise my written works better, so provided there are no issues with that, I can quickly put together my content and further ideas moving forward)

I was trying the game in the NTR/Cheating rout and when the FMC are agreed to make cheating the story... ends here... Please, the app can wait, it's better to make a GREAT advance in the game's story, we no need another game like "My Girlfriend Abroad" that game was good but ends in the best part and never advance... and PLEASE, don't make something like "My Girlfriend Abroad" Focus the atention of the story in 1 unique girl, that of "Make the MC jump from girl to girl" it's more of a "filler" than important content.

Here is the latest CGM 4.1. It includes a Save/Load feature as the major update to it. There are other features but, some incomplete fixes were needed for the Event Groups (I'd recommend not using Events/Stories in your game if you use this version). With me now working on the new "edition" of CGM, 4.1 is the last release for this "edition" CGM. Due to the issues mentioned above, I will keep it as an unofficial one (off the website).

Thanks to Nightdrop for the CGM 4.1 in this reply I find a form to read and see the game to can edit it, I don't know how time will take me this but I hope can edit the game and continue it. Nevertheless, the game will suffer a GREAT amounth of changes (Starting with the elimination of the another girls and they routes) I prefer focus in one girl (The MC Girlfriend) the FMC friend Ella, and and the MC friend Robert, I don't know if the game will be good, long, short but it's better to focus in 1 story sort or long with a female and if I can think about a side story or if you (Yes you who are reading this reply with hope in your eyes) will like my version of this story. I think is better a short but complete game than a game incompleted and abandoned. Before to finish the reply I want say 1 or 2 things:

1) I haven't a girlfriend or wife so, stay calm, nobody will make me wright nothing and make me abandon this idea xDD

2) I will try to continue with the Idea of Acts, I don't know if will work or how many acts I will make to finish the game but I think this is better than nothing. I will come back with news in the future (With luck at the end of the month/year or in the first days of the next month/year.

3) Sorry if my english isn't good or is so bad I'm from Latam and my english is basic with some help of google translate so, don't wait for a perfect translation in the game or in my coments.

I almost forgot maybe the girlfriend will change too (The fotos and content about her)

Well, what I am creating is a rather large system. It would allow for much faster game creation. I can't say when it will be done, and I know there are a few people (and generous patrons) who keep waiting despite all of this; I am thankful for that. At this stage I can't give any guarantees on a "when", only that, everything I am working on is coming and I hope you'll all enjoy the content and story I'm creating!

I will do everything I can to clear up more time to work faster, but I did hit some technical walls that required learning efforts too. I did for a period work on direct new content with the current CGM, but I realised longer term it would stunt the growth of the game and my ability to grow it into what I plan it to be!

I'm sure rickrick would be ok with someone continuing the game on his behalf, although you could start with some spin-off perhaps to make it easier for yourself. If you are ok with the engine, great, but I'd like to suggest that you can actually copy out the "json" style object from the .js file, and edit it directly (one of my biggest issues with the app is the "tree" (node graph), the new CGM will feel way more intuitive to navigate around with).

Thanks for the tips, I'm editin the tree in the CGM Editor app, I eliminate the Aunt Kendra and Autumn stories (The idea of stretching out so long with so many stories is what complicates games of this type in my opinion.) But I preserved the another stories (Tiffany obviously, Robert, Dee, Ella and Emily) And thinking about another game of this style (Corrupted Life) I have a new Idea to make it work, but I need more time to make 2 versions of the "Act II" and a possible end in a "Act III" depending if the player play one or another version of the "Act II" I no will promise the game and the story will be perfect but I will try my best to make this game a good game with a good story and more important to give it a good end (Good for the players, no for the MC XDDD ) And thank again for the 4.1 ver. of your app with the 3.0 in your site could not open the game and edit it.

Just gave it a whirl for the first time today. So wait are the stories in the stories app the canonical exposition to everything or are they non canon?

also theres a typo or a weird sounding sentence when ruby asks what you do when a girl answers the door for you. I initially thought it was a deliberate typo and she would test us to see if we would correct her or notice she typed it wrong at first after getting mad at us for answering ringing the door bell

Great, I hope you enjoyed it. Those stories are non-canon, just extras. I'm not sure about the typo; it's not something I'm concerned with since the game has/is going under major revisions anyway

Things have slowed down a lot due to "panic-mode" at work. I am trying to take the time where I can; my hope is to automate a lot of steps to bring out a ton of content, fast. Although I can't give a release date, I'm excited to bring out a lot of fun content; I just need to get over these hurdles I'm facing!

Hey everyone. No, the project is not abandoned. There is no great news to report unfortunately:

1. Data loss over the weekend, caused by my remarkable stupidity, means I am now faced with *potentially* rebuilding a lot of the engine. I have recovered some files but my backups (I use software called acronis) were not setup correctly. Yes, this shouldn't have happened... and I am kicking myself over it, but trying to remain positive. I have all my documents and enough to rebuild it, it's just painful - I'll be looking at something like chat gpt to help me rewrite code faster this time around, so fingers-crossed the plan works.
2. Mental health issues, not actually related to the data loss (although it does not help) that I'd rather not get into on the forums. Everyone's got their personal dramas, and I will simply admit that I've had mine too. A major issue for me is my job and being over worked. Anyway, having said that, I enjoy game development so this game won't be going anywhere.

I'm grateful for those who are still checking in on the project; I haven't released 0.5 of hot dating because there wasn't a lot more in that version (and you can sub and unsub on patreon without paying anyway, which is fine, the project hasn't deserved much funds at all but I appreciate what it has gotten so far). Having said that if anyone feels ripped off, just send me a DM and I'll look into how I can process a refund (I assume patreon allows that); I am not here to rip anyone off or anything, and it's killing me how things have gone so far - I will continue to do everything I can with the project.
