Well dang, looks like my saves are broken. None of them load (even autosaves). Had an auto save at the office before the karaoke event that loaded, but when I load it and try to proceed, it just boots me to the main menu instead of continuing the story.

Looks like I'll be having to start all over again.

I wasn't expecting there to be any problems with this build, and neither of the testers reported any issues.

If you're playing an unmodified version, send me a recent save along with details of where you were at.

No worries, probably a bork on my end is all. I was using Joker's mod, so yeah, modified lol. My save was at the end of the last update, after leaving karaoke and the hooded girl is on screen (the part where she says "He is leaving now").

Doesn't bother me any though, I don't mind starting over. Just wanted to mention it is all, in case it was a majority issue. Thanks though.

Okay, this update doesn't take you any further than that - it's bug fixes, some missing content with Ashley and Lois and some cosmetic changes, so you may be better off waiting for the next version (which I promise to get out a lot faster) and for an updated mod on the back of that.

I've given up fighting the whole mod thing, and I know emulex has a thread for his mod, so maybe check with him at that point.

played this one few weeks ago or so, quite liked it, but damn - probably the most misleading and "wrong" choice of title name and overview, you would thinks it's something like slice of life kinda game with focus on interaction with your roommate and that's that, in reality it's all becomes completely irrelevant after first 5-10 minutes of playing and game opens up
that's not bad per se, but very misleading, if you looking for this type of game - you won't find it here, if you looking for something more (like this one) - you may skip it without even trying (like i did at first)
besides that, for a game pretty much completely set in real setting, having all those scifi/fantasy story elements (gen. engineered clones, hucows farming on industrial scale, weird fantasy sex cults) really feels out of place here

That's fair comment. The intro spiel was written at the outset, when the game consisted of only the first week!

I don't think changing the name is really an option at this stage, unless I add a subtitle or something.

But I will give some thought to a revamp of the blurb.

You're welcome. Also, "show d59-evening-15" got removed from Ch59.rpy Line 1102, but I don't know if that was intentional or not.

Two sub-folders inside your Joker Mode 8.5 were missing, I used the two from 8.4 version copied and pasted them over. I attached them here incase one of your fan / users runs into the same issue.
