Overview:
You get a big promotion and move to Seattle where a friend offers you the use of an apartment. However, he'd previously told a young woman from your company that she could stay there, and your arrival means she could end up homeless. But if you don't mind sharing, you'll get to know the beautiful and enigmatic Kari. However, in the world of The Roommate, things are rarely quite what they seem. The Roommate is meant to be less "linear" than many other games and there are factors outside a player's control that may affect the path the story takes.
And you don't get to shag your mom (or your sisters), but there are plenty of other fish in the sea...​

Don't kink shame me, but seriously, this is more of a proof of concept and its not really bad, just generic, the renders are good enough by today's standards and the girl has a design I haven't seen before, so that's a plus, the rest is fairly generic they meet they fall in love, it could be generic or it could be interesting we can only wait and see.

I still think there's something wrong with her expressions, I think it's because she's not looking directly at the character.

Just played it, and the dev notes says they are looking for feedback to see what people like and dislike. Here goes:

Like:

The game has a dominance & intimacy & lust & trust points system & money mechanics.

Not written in Engrish can read and understand easily what is said. It seems to have been proofread

Not bugging or anything

Don't see bad grain or anything on the images they are okay in that respect

Many outfits for the female lead already

Female lead does blink sometimes

Plentiful on choices

Dislike:

Random bad ends on non choices. Like asking "Who is pete?" the first question can be game over already. I mean you can start over, or load a save, but it does nothing but annoy players.

Poses and gestures of the female lead are stiff and not exciting, and lacking variety. That pose with her arms down by her side like she is waiting in line for the bank are over used way too much. If she gestured with her arms, or stood a little differently or had some more facial expressions it would make a big difference. I'm not saying it's a bad pose to have her hands down by her hips standing normally. It's just when you have seen it 10 times in a row it starts to get old. At one point she walks in the office and they just sort of slide her along keeping the same pose and it's like... not good. Even just some slight variants of a similar pose would help so much in this respect.

Writing wise... Although it is technically correct (grammar and spelling and punctuation are all fine) It just feels kinda boring. It's like it's missing some humor, or drama or something. The big decision of the day should not be weather or not to jerk it in the bathroom in the morning. It needs more something to spice it up. The writing is the equivilent of eating unbuttered bread. Put something more on there make it have more flavor. If it had a couple of jokes or more feelings / emotions it would add a lot.

Other than bad endings in spite of some choices having variables it doesn't seem to make much of a difference what you choose at least not yet. Some more meaningful choices would be great.

At one point the female pretty much says "I assumed you would want to have sex now"... Then if you answer in the affirmative it is a bad end... Like what the hell man? That's an annoying bad end... Very annoying.

Also, more of an indicator is needed for what sort of points you just gained. If it had some sort of points system or point notification or some way to display them that would be nice. Only money is displayed, and you can't go off the girls facial reaction for what you did as it stays too similar either way.

Conclusion:

Keep working on it, and do your best. Haters gonna hate, but dont' let them keep you down. Good luck.
