I mean the game was literally finished and released on Dlsite, the only thing "abandoned" was a possible additional content update to the game.

It's debatable how to tag this.
As I mentioned, it was otherwise appearing complete until they said something more was to come, then things came up and that never happened - we generally go by their statements first, then interpret from there.
While I was willing to go with Complete, they did explicitly promise more content and chose not to deliver for whatever reason. If that was beyond their control, that's one thing. For now, we have to assume it was a change in their priorities. So, that would imply they've Abandoned their continued direction with the game.

So I agree that it's debatable but we should keep in mind two things:
1.) The status of the base game
2.) How newcomers will interpret the tagging
The base game itself was finished, released, and even had more additional content added months after launch. It quite simply doesn't make sense to me to tag the game as a whole to be abandoned when the base game itself was completed and finished and simply some append or additional content that wasn't strictly a part of the game was put on indefinite hiatus. For #2 people who come across this thread can possibly get the wrong idea from the abandoned tag and not give it a chance because they might think that the game is incomplete which is absolutely not the case. Games in other threads that reach a 1.0 launch status are given the completed tag despite still being updated post launch with additional content or bug fixes so I see no reason why this game should not also have a completed tag as well.

I agree with this opinion. When I see a game with abandoned tag, I see an incomplete game. This game has been completed and the dev is just adding extra's which is optional anyway. It should be completed to avoid misunderstanding. Or just make a poll I guess.

To new thread viewers this game is finished all story and stuffs mods just put abandoned because the dev promised new scene to the game but it never released(busy making the new game probably)

That still does not seem to justify an abandoned tag just because a supposed DLC was forgotten/scrapped if the story is complete.
