Okay, I just tried the game and currently at the (supposed Tutorial) fight with the sis.
The "banned soda" are clearly supposed to be a mechanic to give you a chance to win the fight, right?
But it is actually a scam. The item claim to "elevate male skills to match the females." But in actuality it instead LOWER your attack stat from 20 down to 10, and in-battle damage from ~60 down to ~20.
Then the prompt of "She about to do some special attack" in which you need to use your one Alert skill to avoid? Yeah, she still hit you for her regular damage, which if intended then it is a very shitty mechanic since you are forced to not deal damage while the enemy get a free hit in for the turn. It add up. Either make it significantly lower the damage from that attack or straight up evade it.
Then there's the obvious "Both options after losing give you Sub point). Essentially mean there are no options.

So yeah, either Dev is trolling with the Dom path or this is a game breaking error.
Side note, that ~60-ish natural damage is actually HIGHER than the sis (~40-50), which doesn't make sense for the premise of women being born stronger. So bruh.
I quit around there since going further just doesn't seem worth it if this kind of error happen right off the gate.

I playtested it and it's fine, you should be able to beat it without the drink since i was able to. Plus, the extra damage is on purpose since you have to account for it, i'll stick with it till next game cause i need the battles to have some difficulty. You having no dangerous close shave is not in my interest since people complained about pointless combat cause the last battle game was too easy to not get killed in.

Also if i was being 100% canon with the story there would actually be no Dom route.

So the drink is indeed broken? Also, I have tried to beat that fight without the drink. I attacked every turn except for two (in which the game warned me about a big attack and that I should use the Skill) and still lost. Which mean I need to ignore the mechanic completely and just unga bunga the attack option? But again, that isn't really the solution. Step 1 should be getting that drink to give a proper boost instead of a debuff.

Aight, I've played it now.

Few things:
  • Is it possible to adjust the speed of the intro text at the start? I'm not a native english speaker and it seemed like it zipped past a tad too fast but maybe it's just me.
  • Love the little song in the 1st building, what's it called?
  • Tutorial fight seems to be bugged, she wins after a set amount of turns even if I still have HP, can also confirm the soda actually nerfs you, you go from dealing 60ish damage to 20ish.
  • You gain sub points even if you say no to the sister after losing.
  • 2nd fight she again auto wins but this time she does a special attack out of nowhere and non of the 2 options you have do anything

You can't unga bunga because her 2nd special is a kick in the nuts, which stuns you.
I've been able to ignore the 1st special but I end up auto losing anyway independently of how much HP I still have, seems bugged.

Yeah, point is: Even if it is indeed possible to beat that fight without using the drink by using the correct move at the right time, it still wouldn't be how the game are supposed to be played. What little world building we got up to that point suggest the only way to win is with the drink, so circumventing it just break the narrative.

Yeah I agree with you.

Also, I decided to play on even though the 2 defeats were bullshit and rest.

Resting doesn't restore HP and MP, your soda (even if you wanted to use it) gets auto confiscated and then the best part. You deal a whopping ZERO damage to the next opponent :KEK:

Guessing that losing the tutorial and 2nd sis fight locks you into a sub even if you took all dom options.

I'll increase the Dom base attack and HP.

I want to write a blog post about this and figure out the one thing that literally all men want (hint: it's disgusting).

Actually, the most offensive thing is the Koikatsu models, but luckily I'm a monke so I'll give it a shot sometime later. Good luck, my dude.

You need to beat her, make her lose all her hp to win, if you just survive you still lose.
I think that only happens on the Sub Route so i need to noob proof the beginning. lol

I internalized criticism of meaningful choices so much it fucks me up lol, i'll try to stop with the choice based stuff since people don't think the same way i do while creating.

It does seem that the contraband drink decreases the players attack. I don't know if that was supposed to be on purpose or if it's a bug but I'll try playing without drinking it.

So if you pick the sub choices in the beginning it leads to losing after a few turns? Cause I did pick the ones that give the dom points. And it seems like there actually is a problem the contraband drink where it decreases the attack unless that's on purpose then I would say that's a pretty neat little cheeky trick you did there.

That was my thinking. i playtested the battles and it wasn't that hard. (I'll be adding hint warnings before special skill uses in the future)

You can use the drink as soon as you collect them each day even before the battle begins, i'll definitely try to make that clearer too.

Damn, thanks for the positivity... was starting to question the entire battle/game concept.
Just wanna point out that my comments wasn't so much a complaint as that I just didn't understand how to beat the girls with the info I was given. I also didn't retry the battles a ton of times but like for instance let's take the first battle with the sis.

First time I just got killed cause of the nut kick + dmg, then I started using dodge ability but then I noticed I would get auto killed as mentioned on turn 6 I believe. Then I tried to save the dodge ability and used guard instead which seemed to work better vs the normal special attack since the dodge didn't decrease the dmg taken but only let you dodge the nut kick while guard decreased dmg and let you dodge the nut kick but still had to take the stomp attack. But again still seemed to get auto killed on turn 6 even if I still had hp or tried to use the dodge ability at that point.

I did follow the vid you posted and yeah that worked though the numbers seems to be very tight with me dying three times in a row before I was able to beat her with the strat you posted. I think it can be fixed quite easily by just upping the MC's hp by maybe 20hp or giving him 1 more attack since at the moment he does about 55-60ish dmg I believe per attack but unless he get's most of them close to 60 dmg, I don't know her hp so I can only guess and I don't wanna playtest till I find out xD, then he loses because then he has too low hp to survive another hit. So either the MC needs more dmg to always be able to pass with that strat or more hp to survive another hit or it's going to be complete RNG if he wins or not. If you want it to be like this then it's fine but if you want players to be able to pick dom or sub route without having to reload multiple times then it needs to be balanced a bit more.

Edit: I did try using the banned soda to heal so that I would have enough hp to surive another hit but then you get the auto loose option if you don't beat her on that turn and during the second fight it's impossible to win since you seem to go onto the sub route if you lose the first fight.

Still I'm looking forward to where this goes since I do enjoy the strong female games either with them getting dommed or inflicting the sub
