that's not true, he also trying other project too. he didn't milk anyone because he state it originally when the first version release (not the remake) that he won't pleasing his fan and will only art on his will. and those still support him are for other projects. this one already finished and he just want to re-visit it when he got free time. so you can called it now as side project.
pretty sure that he will remastered/remake it when he got free time (aka other projects flop). and for sure it will, he is a good artist, but not a good game devs. OG of Behind the Dune was using old gameplay from Dune. i tried his Hondae, gameplay got bored real fast.

You're delusional. There's more Paul x Jessica content than any other pairing in the game. You can't blame Balsa for not catering to your interests exclusively. Just because Jessica is the most favoured character among the playerbase, doesn't mean, that the others don't have their fans. RM has the most scenes after Jessica and Alia. Harah has more scenes then Paul's canonical main concubine Chani. Concerning Khaira, yeah maybe there could be more of her. Other than that, I don't see, why you are complaining. If you think, there isn't enough content in total, ok. It was never supposed to be a big game, though. And the amount of content per character is pretty much on point with their popularity. You can't just judge that based on the opinions on this forum alone. The tastes are more diverse on his discord and patreon. And those are the people, that he regularly talks to.
No, I think it's his own choice. There's already enough stuff in the game to get him banned from Patreon and there has been for a long time. I have no clue how he keeps getting away with it. Maybe, because he's a small creator and the only way to know, that there is incest and loli is by actually playing the game or reading the tags on some piracy forum and apparently he has been lucky enough, that nobody has ratted him out yet.
The first 2 years it was his main project. After that, it was only a side project.

That's actually a pretty normal thing. But the whole SFW mode and him still updating it is super weird. He once said, that he made it, so that he can show the game to his family (they don't know he makes porn, apparantly). I can't fathom him showing his folks this parody game with the big titties and them being proud of him, just because there's no nudity?
I just think it's a really weird motivation to make something, that literally noone else wants.
I don't dislike HiH, but there just isn't much to it yet, considering how long he has been working on it. The game looks fantastic, it's more detailed than ever, but there just isn't much to do. I guess David spent a lot of the time just learning how to work with the new tools.
Vega Hunters was actually pretty good, until he changed the whole game concept, so that he could finish it faster and make more Dune content instead.
It wasn't dead back in 2016, when work on the game began and it wasn't dead in 2017, when the game was finished (for the first time). And it still wasn't dead in 2018, when the dev started to remake it.
Flash was a pretty good engine back in the day.
so ive just been trying to play thru this game and it has crashed on me and when i reopen it there is no save game. Have to start from scratch any one else had a similar issue?

Its hilarious how in retrospect all the people yelling "DONT LEWD THE LOLI! YOU'LL LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY!" when Alia was first introduced actively made Balsa lose a shit ton of money in the long run

I tried this game once before year or so ago but now with all these tags stamped on not sure If its worth finishing to the end. I mean I get some of the tags but some seem pretty far out there or not tasteful least to me. Are the more extreme stuff avoidable or is it forced in playthroughs?
Doesn't matter what you do nowadays, you always get beef with at least one of the many echo chambers.

Fact is that this game was really good, probably still holds its own against all the generic VNs from the past years.
However his second game was just extremely generic in every possible way. Don't know why i would play that without all the Dune story and the Paul-Jessica incest.

The save that's there is for 2.22, very outdated. Either remove it from the OP or change the information for it.

Apparently for some people, the game doesn't create a save file, unless the game is named 'BehindTheDune.exe (or swf). Or maybe the game doesn't autosave, unless it is closed properly? In that case, quit and restart intermittently.
Most of it is avoidable and some of the tags are overstated, anyway.
futa - You are never forced to do anything with her, but if you are offended by the mere sight of a futadick, you should consult the walkthrough, because you might see it by accident.
graphic violence - You choke a woman to death with your dick, unavoidable, but it is in self-defense and you can revive her later; other than that, some dudes get blown up with grenades and you might stab someone with a knife, but it's all rather non-graphic
incest - You're probably not too bothered by this one, because that tag was there from the very beginning. All avaoidable, but there is a lot of it.
loli - Of the 1000 year old person inside a child's body variety (actually canon). Quite well developed for her age. You don't have to do anything with her, but might accidentily stumble on her in the shower (don't have her in the palace, if you want to avoid that.)
mind control - fully avoidable
rape - In the form of mind control, or if you lose the game in a specific way.
scat - Nuggets fall out in some anal scenes. This can be toggled off (poop symbol in communication room).
swinging - one unavoidable scene, optional ones? Everyone seems to have slightly different opinions on what constitutes as sharing or swinging. Better look at the walkthrough to be sure.
urination - one unavoidable scene, two optional
Everything else I would consider vanilla.
There is one unavoidable drug-fueled orgy.
Do not be deceived by the version number. Save files are ALWAYS named DuneV2-22.sol for some reason. There is no correlation with the actual version. Still, the save in the OP IS a bit outdated. Check the link in my signature. There's a set of brand-new saves in the Legacy Pack.

I'm aware of that. In any case, is outdated enought to even cause a few conflicts, so it has no use.
About your "collections", I'm only interested in the save file, and not everything else. While I appreciate someone doing that kind of decompiling and archiving, I won't download that many GBs for a file that's a few KBs in size.
