The wife is selfish and seems that MC has been dissatisfied with her for quite a while. She passes out drinking every day and uses the MC to satisfy her and then she proceeds to sleep. This is a common occurrence according to the MC. The MC says he loves her, but at least to me, the player, it seems that he simply tolerates her and feels pressured to remain married. Of course, the healthy thing to do would be to get a divorce and take different paths instead of finding pleasure in random women.

It's only in the latest update when you get a glimpse of why she is how she is so it's understandable for players to see her as toxic and dislike her. Personally, I do not like her. I can't say I don't understand why she's so bitchy since she's depressed, but that's something only a loving husband or someone who has been with you for years can tolerate, which fits the MC, but not the player who has only seen her bad sides.

The MC, at the very least, tries his best (even if his best is pathetic) to please her and care for her, whereas the wife only takes from him and does not focus on the MC's needs. Hell, she doesn't even know how dissatisfied he is with her.

This game has amazing models and renders and the story is so-so, which is why it should focus on relationship building and perhaps the choices, but it also lacks in that regard.

No thanks, i really can't stand the wife...i hoped we can leave her, but sadly it doesn't look like it, seeing the last update and she trying to get a kid... you can't even reject sex with her...
So my only hope is that she finds out about the MC and his daughter and breaks up.
I just want to have a Kailey solo route, well maybe adding the cute redhead, if it doesn't involve the cumslut in any way.

Yeah, I think too it will not be possible to leave Justine, she is probably essential to story. Reject her? I'm not sure about game mechanic yet. How big will be the impact of our decisions. I like choices in VN's, but if you make too many, development speed declines dramatically. Its choice about choice and more different renders for every route. And from a frequent updated game you have AWAM...

I actually really like when games have a lot of choices my favourite AVN has different routes for about eight girls
I also don't mind if games are only updated one a year.

We have to agree to disagree. I like games with frequent updates; 1-3 months in between.So I don't forget what happened last time when I played it. If game has up to five updates, then OK, one per year could work... (but minimum 6 hours of gameplay per update)
I liked Now and Then... 26 updates. in 26 months. Each update 25+ minutes gameplay. It's more beautiful graphically then Lost at Birth? No... DAZ vs HS (I don't mine the engine, story is for me no.1 priority) It's not a fair comparison, but one author make his second game while second author tries to make v.0.3 of his game...

Either way I hope the dev is clear on what paths there will be. If theres gonna be a forced moment where you have to leave the wife in spite of all my choices and actions then i can stop wasting my time on the game.

I thought she was getting more tolerable with versions 4 and 5 but I'm back to feeling nothing but hatred and disgust for her. Please no more forced sex with her character...

If I remember correctly, alcoholic don's see a problem by himself, every small event is just an opportunity to open a new bottle. I know few of them. Treating them correctly will not improve anything, or just for that day. An illness can or they have to come to their senses. So long they really don't want to leave the bottle, they are prisoners of the bottle.
We have the luck that this is only a game. After so many years of constantly abuse, body does suffer many changes. She wouldn't look that good, she would see much older than that...
