Loved the update. I did feel like the direct transition to the farm with a flashback later was more confusing then suspenseful, but otherwise it was great.
I wonder if helios vs prometheus will make a difference in Ben's fate.

Interludes are more like one shot stories made to mainly lessen the exposition in the main game. The Assistant was made to somehow explain what the serum was, and what exactly happened in the Institute incident.
