i've gone to my room and nobody is there, where is the lake i need to go to to deliver the swimsuit?

I understand the logic behind save prohibition by an event, but at times it is really inconvenient. Say, you have several active quests and you cannot save until you finish all of them. I had a series of active quests with the lake event being one of them and was not able to save for several hours and had to leave the game minimized and upon my return it was not responding 
Could this save prohibition made less strict?

Has anyone seen any further items in the Shopping for May event beyond the 450 Reputation dress with lots of snaps and the 700 Reputation outfit that she'll use for the Yule Ball? I see it active as if there's more, but May's no longer at the store for further outfit try-ons. Maybe we're just not far enough along for more to be shown.

Short answer is yes, there are sex scenes.
But no doubt you'll be quite annoyed to know that its quite a ways to get there. Probably expect to be playing for about 3 hours before you get even a single bj.

Yeah, that's what I use when I play. So W and S for forward / back; A and D to slide left and right; LShift to run; Spacebar to jump; LAlt will roll (in whatever direction the MC is moving or facing); LMB to interact when text appears; move mouse to look around. I don't know about controller support; it's possible.
Your final question implies it was intentional that the first step be too tall on this set of stairs (a ladder is something different). The first step is too large (or more probably, the problem is it's slightly off the ground), so jumping is required to get up it. On the second flight of steps to get to the top, the first step is much shorter, so running up isn't a problem. That said, if you stand back a little bit from the step, you should be able to jump with Spacebar to get on the stairs.

1.I came to a dead end, after the scene with teacher Ava, they sent me to bed, in the morning they told me that I had to come to her late at night, I couldn't miss this day.

Oh, boy This is definitely one of the games of all time. Is moving around meant to be difficult and confusing? This feels like I'm playing Totally Accurate Battlegrounds, or something.
In the school paper quest in the charm class storeroom, when im trying to get to the upper floor, nothing happens.

To get to the charms II class, try this code "fActiveRemote,class2_charms_BEGIN,true". If this doesnt work, Im afraid you'll need to wait until the dev fixes this, or replay the game. I would recommend that you do the ghoul quest first in your next playthrough should you choose to do it.
To do the ghoul quest:-
- Finish potions class, or whatever it is. Basically you'll be prompted to end the day
- Go back to your room and interact with the chair. That would allow you to skip to nightime.
- Go to first floor western building, just keep walking until you find a room with a tent and a cannon in it (its the westerner's room, where he sells you stuff). The westerner wont be there, so you'll be able to use the ladder to get to the abandoned corridor
To get scales:-
- Go to physic ed class and interact with the weights there close to the door. You need to have at least 10 deception to steal it
- Or just buy it off the westerner

- labyrinthine, mostly empty castle
- buggy, fall through the floor navigation
- same-faced girls due to ai generation (some of the boys look like that too)
- doors that cannot be accessed have the same interaction pop-up as the ones that can until you get close
- no in-game map or guidance of any sort
AND you can miss out on scenes because there are stats in the game that need to have certain values...
I'm actually baffled by all of this because the story seems to be very solid and the ai art is not bad (faces notwithstanding)
