There's a very small scene where Linda lifts up Sara's panties for you, and a mini-scene with a new goth girl giving a blowjob to the headmaster (I quite like her, hope we see more of her), but other than that, it's 100% mom.

Is it? I mean even if you like Sara more, Caroline is definitely hotter in a more conventional way (big tits + model face). The more mature personality helps too.
Sara is a little overdone in this kind of game, the cute/innocent one who falls in love and is all scared eyes at you. I mean in terms of looks sure, why not, but the character herself is a little cliche. In my opinion ICSTORs unbelievable success is in being pretty much the 1 out of 1000 games that doesn't follow cliches - the mom is immediately in love with you and basically wants to be with you (not just your D either), while Caroline is...I don't know, to me she's refreshing. There's none of the usual tsundere shit, she starts as your friend, she acts a lot like a normal girl (albeit a normal girl minus the incest).
So yeh, I'd sincerely be surprised if a poll of the people who played the game, in general, turned up more for Sara than either Linda or Caroline. I can understand why Sara would be more popular here, but outside I wouldn't.
I'm getting disappointed that they're going with "true love" routes for Linda, Caroline, AND Sara. Really, all the same? And it can't be true for all three of them. Why couldn't at least one of them be for some more extreme fetish play like Domme/slave stuff? Seems like wasted opportunity.

That would be disappointing and wasted potential..hopefully they do justice to the other characters. They need to remove the family from the next poll..although who knows if they will even get enough support then

His sucess lies on the incest that attract a lot of people (and weirdos too) and because his render skills are top notch.
On the other side, his games stories are one cliché after the other. They are definitelly not the factor that attracts so many people to his patreon.

By the way, if the dust is settled a little bit - I gotta say, what a fucking update. The quality is impeccable, I felt like there was the tiniest bit of drop with the aunt/caroline stuff, but this is just pure 10/10. I even thought it was very short and small, but that should be an example to everyone else making anything like this - pure, unfiltered quality will ALWAYS trump sticking to deadlines/keeping content big. Anything can be excuse if you're doing it at the level ICSTOR is and if you're not you should pay more attention to stuff like that. But back to the update itself, I fluctuate between Caroline and Linda being my favorites (actually Judy and Celia are, probably, but there's no stuff with Judy and almost none with Celia), and this was just perfect, absolute perfect Linda. The way the scenes played out, the amount, the full overview of the story was glorious, it was the most complete, perfect update for a character in the history of games like this. I would be PERFECTLY happy if this was THE last update for Linda, despite her being probably my favorite now and we just got a small route added to her for the end update (which I hope is the one where we just pick our ending and get a scene for it). It's just perfect as is and I cannot use the word perfect enough because no other word can even come close to describing it.
The most important parts aren't cliche, outside Sara. Yeh, it's mom milf + two daughters (big sister, little sister) that BB and everything else does, but the progression and the character with mom and big sister is just utterly and completely different from the norm. Plus the overall feeling the game gives isn't the normal cliched shit.
And let's face it, like 75% of this shit produced is incest. It's not something that on its own will make you successful.

As far as I can tell there's nothing particularly unique about the setting, it's pretty much business as usual but with higher quality renders and animations than almost everyone else.
That's alright though, I wouldn't try to reinvent the wheel either. Giving people what they want is what got them their reputation and that sweet monthly paycheck.

To be fair, it's not the only thing.
Milfy City is pretty slick overall. Good UI, virtually no grind, tolerable writing, no dead ends, no pointless idling or overly complicated events to trigger.
The game provides a very pleasant experience. It's not inventive, but it doesn't have to be.
It's a very important part in a game like this though, makes most other incest games look cheap in comparison

His success is definitely his renders and animations being literally 100x better than the rest of the people doing this. And not having to redo the game every update helps.
