WTF? How does this have 40 almost all 5 star reviews and basically no support on Patreon? Is this being boosted or is actually crap but Koikatsu weebs just liking Koikatsu? Anyone who's not a super-Koikatsu fan like this?
Could just download and form your own opinion, 2.4GB ain't going to break the bank. I'd say its a very good game for people who like the type of things it clearly advertises, (D&D, Monster Girls, Comedy). But if you look at what Koi games make bank it's the ones with copious amounts of sandbox cut and paste sex scenes, not the story based ones, which is my explanation for the patron count.

There wasn't any update for 8 or 9 months. No wonder numbers on Patreon went so low

So uhhhh that ending amiright? Not really sure what to make of it... is it a fake out? A genuine twist to the usual thing we see in these games? Or is it going to be a whole quest to fix 'it'?...

Honestly, I wish I knew my dude :HideThePain:

only question i have is why theres so much italian in a english vn...
Oh, I'm just using it as a base for 'Elvish', just to show language differences. In fantasy settings and tabletop, languages play a huge role in stuff so wanted at least a few who were multilingual! Fits the setting and the feeling I'm trying to give :V

don't really want to complain, game is really good and i'm loving it so far, but... so much filler this update - whole scene with kids outside? unnecessary long scene with bandits? even all rest of the scenes are just way too bloated, i wish it was a bit more compressed and instead given extra to main characters and actual story
i understand whole fluff thing, world building and setting characters, but there is just too much ballast
but eh, only my opinion

Could add English translations below the text, gets the point across of it being a different language while still allowing people to understand what's being said. Anyways story was a good read, good luck my dude.

According to Graphtreon it has actually slowly grown over the last few months. It looks pretty good. Honestly the only reason I'm probably just seeing it is cuz it's not an incest game. I usually ignore Koikatsu games without incest especially if they have the romance tag but this looks pretty good and the monster girls are solid.

Personally not the biggest Koikatsu fan, really just look for renders that don't distract me from the story while also giving me a decent example to visualize off of. I can say the game is pretty good, I've enjoyed it so far.

granted the game took a lot longer for me to play than i was expecting for a 0.06 but still, working day's worth of content for 2.4 GB is not the best look, I've seen other KK games that compress the file size significantly better, like Corrupted Kingdoms. I've spent days playing that, and it only hit 1GB a few months ago.

I think it really is just a preference thing at the end of the day. Koikatsu tends to be viewed least favorably out of the main three (those being Daz, Honey Select, and Koikatsu). A lot of the most successful Koikatsu games sort of pale in comparison to the big Daz/HS games in terms of support. You used the term "Koikatsu weebs" yourself and I wouldn't be surprised if that's a popular mentality. It's very anime style in general and a good amount of devs play into it, so maybe the majority just isn't into that? Couldn't tell you for sure, more speaking as someone who's just been around the site for a bit.

I would not count myself as a Koikatsu superfan, but I don't really have a preference in the first place. To me it's more about what a dev does with it. I've played great games from all three of them, and at the same time have played a lot of stinkers from all three of them. In this case, I think this game is great and is very different from the usual. I haven't played the newest update (letting them build up so I can binge), but out of the hundreds of AVNs I've played this one has been shaping up into a favorite of mine.

Edit: To add onto the topic a little more, I don't think the $450 the game is currently making is necessarily bad either. This has been around for over a year and in that time has gotten 6 releases including the first one. And yeah, there was a 7 month? time span between v.05 and v0.6 as well. Not to bash the dev for that, is what it is, but visibility is only really getting boosted when updates drop. I haven't done the research to back this claim up, but I have a feeling if the releases stayed consistent at about every other month this might have a bit more popularity/support. I do hope to see this reach the level of those other Koikatsu games at the least though, and I have some confidence it can get there.

Well admittedly, the kids scene was a patron voted scene I set up awhile ago lol

As for compressing to the main gals... well... that's basically everyone you saw. Pah, Koko, Kendra, Adzumi, Vanhi, Juliet, Rainha, Callie, and Celeste. The main main is Pah of course but these are the main 9 that will have main story focus. Everyone else are side gals and will be involved in the story but in a more minor way.

Yeah, I could prob condense it some more. It's not exactly my priority atm though as it's... just 2.4gb? If I was hitting like 5 or something then yeah I'd be more worried about it but more focused on getting better music and sound and improving scenes atm lol In the future I'll prob condense it down a bit more :V

Yeah I def screwed up with taking way too long with this release... it is what it is but man it's super unfortunate :/ Hopefully, now that I'm sticking to a 1-2 month schedule (no matter what), it should be a lot better :V

Yea right, like the cliffhanger ending could be anything else than a fake out, considering Wes is the MC, their is 0% chance that this turns out not to be a fake out, which makes it if anything to me aggravating because its not even a believable cliffhanger, so no one will need to be bothered about it for the next month or two until the next update comes out, which I guess will at least be a relief not to have to wait to see what will come out of it.

Yea, I agree with your points, but the Koikatsu games have a rep for a reason (and I say this as someone who's been an uber-weeb and still likes anime and anime tropes): most of the worse ones are anime or gacha game spoofs/parodies, lean heavily into memes/cheap trope farming, have a higher floor for visual fidelity that ironically make the low-effort titles appear even worse than bad Daz/HS titles due to the sheer amount of stock animations/assets that enable bad devs to pump out quick cash-grabs, and the tendency for bad Koikatsu devs to be from SEA which produces a particular type of poor English output that's distinct from the worst Spanish and Russian dev fare.

That produces a fatigue that yea is gonna make it harder for good Koikatsu devs to stand out besides however people feel about the art style of the platform itself. This game looks well-made which I why I even hopped in the thread in the first place (like I said, I probably only ignored it before due to lack of incest. Yes, my brain-rot is deep and vast.), so I was assuming the apparent quality would set it apart from the pack; so the surface disparity of reviews to Patreon support did make me suspicious that this was only liked because of anime memes or something.

However I've looked at it a bit more, and even though I haven't tried it yet, it appears to stand on its own feet as a good project and the support level seems to be due to infrequent updates, which will apparently change going forward.
