Names are hard coded in the script, not set as variables, so changing them would need adjusting or replacing the whole script. It's not just a matter of dropping a quick patch file; a mod would have to be updated with each new release.
Of course if the dev wants to do it, better to do it now while adjusting the script is manageable: The longer and more sprawling the game, the more work it would be.

Yeah it's not difficult, just a bit of a faff, esp. if a mod needed to repeat the process with each new release to check for line changes in the previously released chapters. If the dev wanted to do it themselves, that should be fairly straightforward as you say.

It would be dead easy going forward, but I'd have to go back into the script and change it anywhere someone says Luke's name and add the code to call on the "player name". Find and replace would make it not too much work I guess. I might do it if I feel energetic enough one night.

Next update will be late April for the general free release. Should be mid April for the first patreon release. This one is taking a bit longer due to lots of fixes and adjustments to the game overall. This is all approximate. I don't have a set release date because I don't know what issues I might run into that could delay things. The following release after this one should be quicker.

As for the schoolgirl thing, maybe, but it would have to be an exaggerated cosplay as to not make the patreon gods angry. I have a couple of scene ideas for that kind of outfit.

Recently discovered this game and the story is breath of fresh air for me. Also it progresses nicely with logic involved in most cases, rare to see in these sort of games. Can't wait for the next update!
