My theory is that Elly has been in love with MC since they were kids. The repressed memories from the cabin were about Elly killing another girl that MC liked, out of jealousy. Elly kidnapped whichever twin MC showed more favor to, but only hurt them if MC made a move on them. Dad and Ashley covered up the original incident, and decided to keep the kids separated to avoid future problems. Ashley likely decided enough time had passed, and Elly had changed enough, to stop the separation. Unfortunately, Elly has clearly not changed at all, other than physically.

I don't think Ashley is involved at all, though I did find it odd that she seemed to go out of her way to avoid telling MC that Elly is Danielle. She had to have seen the PhotoGram shots of them together, and there is absolutely no reason she wouldn't have mentioned Danielle's name change to MC. So it is possible she was involved in Elly's efforts to deceive MC about her identity. There's a lot more evidence that Elly is the kidnapper, but I've typed up plenty already.

I also thought it was Elly. I still think there is a chance but I am leaning whatever happened it was MC who did it. Also, I think MC having memory lapses so he may have done something to one of the twins and not even remember it. Elly being the culprit maybe red herring and it was MC all along.

No, she just uses a shortened version of it, and every time she introduces herself, she uses the a phrasing like "Call me Elly", while also noting that what seems to be her last name of Lennon is actually her middle name. She's deceiving you, but dropping all sorts of clues in the process; if Protagonist wasn't such a lump, he could have figured it out much sooner. It was really dumb to think that she still looked the way she did in his memories of her.

Elly is a pretty uncommon nickname for Danielle. Most Danielles shorten to either Danny or Elle. As I said, I thought it was very odd that Ashley never asked or said anything to MC about Elly, aside from off-handed comments where she still used "Danielle" to refer to her. Ashley follows MC's Photogram, so unless you took one of the party routes that avoids Elly entirely, Ashley should have seen that you photographed Elly. It's pretty suspicious, but I don't think Ashley's role is sinister.

I may also be missing some information. I'm only on the routes for Ashley, Elly, Natalie, and Mai, since all the other girls are way too slutty for my tastes. If any of the other girls' routes give more evidence/information, then I'd have missed it.

Oh, I really don't think MC is the kidnapper, despite his memory lapses. The kidnapped twin only gets hurt if MC made a move on them, which strongly suggests jealousy as the motive. Also wanted to mention MC's hoodie. Beginning of the game, someone described only as having "huge tits" went into MC's dorm room and stole his hoodie. Unfortunately "huge tits" kinda describes like 90% of the girls on campus.

I have a feeling whoever stole the hoodie is the same person that kept breaking into the dorm room, and very likely could also be the kidnapper. I feel like that hoodie is going to play an important role in the future, perhaps as planted evidence against MC, or MC will find the hoodie and cause him to suspect whoever took it.

I really like the mystery of this game, just wish it had more than 4 girls that don't hump everything that moves. Still at least there are some decent girls, and the story is fascinating.

Which indicates whatever happened there, it must be huge. Because it gave MC a trauma, possible reason for Ashley and Elly moved away, possible reason for MC's parents divorce, the reason they separated MC and Danielle the inseparable duo, also they avoid the topic at all cost.

I suspect Elly's disdain for cheaters is due to infidelity among the MC's and Elly's parents that was discovered at the cabin. There are flashback scenes that suggest this if you do the non-lewd hypnosis route with the therapist.

Oh yeah, I fully agree with that as well. That sounds very plausible, and it feels kind of like Ashley doesn't actually ever interact with Elly. At least, we never see it on screen, no clue what happens in the background. It's quite possible they don't get along and Elly hates her own mom, or perhaps your dad or both, for cheating and catching them cheating at the cabin.

I think there's 8 planned chapters + an epilogue, and you are told from the official guide something about picking the other twin for most choices and then the one of the two you're more interested in to keep both options available... So that means, if we're going to have some time to develop some kind of relationship with whoever it is, then we'll probably have to save her by chapter 5 or 6 at the earliest, 7 at the latest... I doubt 8, right?

I did not know about the 8 chapter thing but if game focus on the girl even 8 is possible, after all MC will become her hero and a little bit development would be sufficient enough for epilogue. Though, I am guessing focus won't be on saving the girl but MC's past and fighting against whatever evil lurking around him. So I think he will save the girl as early as possible maybe even next update.

Can't rule it out, since the basement could always be bigger than the cabin itself, but the kidnap basement does look more like the basement of Ashley's new house, which even has a similar mattress.

As far as something major happening that caused the repressed memories, during the hypnosis he remembered his dad being very angry, and Ashley being sad, so it's possible that their parents caught them having sex, and his dad beat him severely enough to repress the whole event.

I have no interest in Sophie at all, so I decided to do the Elly focused party route(skip party, ask Elly to stay), which let me score a lot of points with Natalie and Elly, while still having Sophie kidnapped. Hopefully I can still get all the content with Natalie, without her having been kidnapped. Having Natalie kidnapped is too boring for me, since I'd miss all the "comforting" Nat scenes, and I wouldn't touch Sophie with a 10-foot pole.

Sophie has a metric shit-ton of baggage, which is already reason enough to avoid her, but I also just don't care for girls that sleep around, or have no qualms with starting a relationship with sex. Lots of very easy girls in this game, but between the drug addiction and general sluttiness, Sophie just feels like the Typhoid Mary of STDs.

I hadn't really considered Kevon being suspicious, but now it makes a lot of sense. I'm surprised I didn't think of that myself. Looking back, he really does seem like the perfect suspect. He does have access, and he did mention the unlocked door without any prompting, which now seems quite suspicious.

Yeah, the game really gave you a lot of opportunities to shoot her down. If you have the walkthrough hints enabled, it straight up tells you when a choice will lock her sexual content out. If you don't pursue a relationship with her, she stays strictly professional, and still helps you out as a cop. She doesn't even really seem very disappointed, as she mentions she's domming plenty of other guys already. I was actually okay with doing some mild femdom with her(safeword allows you to end it if it gets too heavy for you), but I was completely turned off when she revealed MC was just one of her many subs.
