I just noticed a banner saying f95 is being acquired by Patreon... which is an interesting development given I thought this was a hive of scum and villainy (I mean... look at the content, lol).

So this might be the last chance I get to ask this, how would one "invest" in the game?

I get that, technically (if not literally) subscribing to the platform that funds the game's development is an investment in and of itself... but a more substantial investment would, in my admittedly rudimentary knowledge, equate to a return somewhere down the line... likely when the product is finished.

Dude...are u serious? Look at the calendar, what day is today?

And yes, you invest in the game by subscribing, funding the project to completion, if everything goes by plan you get a game at the end of the road...that's the return down the line :ROFLMAO:
Matto himself has limited the amount of tiers, because he doesn't want to deceive people into subscribing with impossible promises...

One gives you access to locked posts, the other gives you a bit more sneakpeaks and artwork accees...but the difference is practically non-existent: if you like the project and want to fund it more? that's what u need to ask yourself.

After all we're all adults here, and we know that in order to work, people gotta eat...so if you like the project and want to support it, drop the amount of $ you think it's worth.

Can't wait to play the current version....the new addons are just amazing.... vaulting, obstacle system, fighting system, this game is like an AAA game at its current state, it's so professional so hats off to the dev and keep up the good work. Can't wait. :) I played a lot of lawed games the past years but this is I think one of the best, true quality game.

This is a tech demo at best. We have no idea what state is in, we only see some videos and some concept art. Last build felt good, but we have no idea what the new systems feel like. I repeat .. what we've seen from the the videos and patreon info, has nothing to do with a full game, let alone double, triple, or quadruple A game. I have low standards, but you my friend are on another(lower) level.

I want to believe.

Check out Pure Onyx and you can easily compare a scam game to a quality one... This isn't a The Day Before scam, the videos were in the past real and valid so your "concerns" seem to be pure jealousy cuz those based on nothing...
as I said I checked a lot of games the past years which were not as good and professionally made like Bioass Hard, Pure Onyx etc. You can check those and compare. Not even close.... Stop being jealous and ass.ole to others who enjoy something....vent out your frustration somewhere else please....

What? That Pure Onyx is a good example for a money sink? It's now sadly a common knowlodge....everybody is talking about that there.... I like that game and I think it had and still has potentional but c'mon....the developement of that game is a joke....it's so slow, and intentionally like a snail moving backwards....someitmes months passes and we get only a new animation and some minor bugfixes... In the mean time a bunch of money was raised to the dev....sorry to say that but...it is what it is...

Shoutout to OGs who all remember Eromancer milking almost half a decade's worth of patron funding from MatM and never "finished" it. Pure Onyx has looked great with each update, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was another snake oil situation.

Back to this game, I at least appreciate that Matey's responding to comments, albeit through a proxy (Alket). Progress has been excruciatingly slow, but the game does look good, especially since it's made by such a small team. Still, it's been a long time that the game's been in development, and Matey's got a history of hiccups and failed projects, so I'm apprehensive this one will come out completed anytime soon. Wish him well and the effort's admirable, but I personally hoped he would've started on a smaller scale instead of trying to tackle such an ambitious project.

MatM was a much smaller & better game that Pure Onyx, shame they dropped it. This developer is much better though

cant wait for the "im stopping developing the game cause its too much work for 1 person and theres not enough support

Based on the patreon posts, it looks like Matey is actually having fun putting it all together, or at least the aspects that let him play around with the mocap.

I'm not sure how you misread my post, but at no point I'm jealous, frustrated or against this project. I quite enjoyed the last build and I'm looking forward to what's to come. You on the other hand declared this a AAA game. Just sounded a little too excited without a good reason. I apologize, and I want what you're smoking.
