I really liked the first part of the story when I thought it would be about the romance between a man and his shy roommate but now it just gets crazier each update and honestly it just feels like a porn game to me.

It's probably the game I'm most upset about at the moment.

I first tried out The Roommate on Gamcore and was intrigued by Kari the cute redhead (I’m so Pavlovian when it comes to redheads). Then Lois the sassy blonde assistant really got my attention, so I tried out her path instead—which had less sex, but was a lot more fun. Then I tried out her dom/sub path and found out where all the sex was hiding.

But then… four-sister harems my MC has to breed with or he’ll die? A cult of slave girls in the basement? A sex club that my MC goes out of his way to travel to so he could remain anonymous, only to find a whole bunch of people he already knows are running the joint? Kiki, the desperately horny and wholly inappropriate PA who seems inevitably predestined to fuck the MC? Interns and receptionists who also wanna fuck him, and whom (thanks to a bug) he can immaculately impregnate? Oh, and if he decides not to date Kari, she quickly starts sucking dick for rent money?

It’s full of irrelevancies. The MC is the CEO of a tech company, but I still don’t know what tech they make other than IRIS; Lois does all the actual work there while the MC buys her butt plugs. There’s a money meter which means nothing; the MC is a millionaire personally financing multiple endeavors and it’s barely making a dent. There’s a health meter which also means nothing so long that you have him jack off in the morning; and exactly why is he jacking off so much when every woman in the game desperately wants to fuck him?

“Off the rails” is a nice way of putting it. This game is trying to combine every ridiculous fetish into one already-stretched-to-the-limit plot. Is there a plot?—or is the dev winging it with every update?

BTW, I’ve taken Kari’s survey a half dozen times on the different paths I’m on. And answered it different ways depending on what path my MC was on: if he’s monogamous, he wants conservative monogamous sex, and if he’s a fuckboy he’s down to clown. If the dev is collecting these results so he can figure out a gameplan, I’m afraid I’ve given him fuck-all to work with.

But Kari's....there's no nice way to say this, it's just ugly. It's like a boy haircut, usually only seen on women in haute couture or high fashion (and it doesn't look good there either). There are so many other attractive short hairs available in daz, stuff like this or this:

Disagree completely with Lois's body, I think she looks great without the implants, and it better matches her face and frame - and personality of a corporate woman with a shy heart underneath.

I'm still getting dialogue slides for Aria when speaking to Cassie at reception, here's what happens as Dr G arrives:

I noticed the issue if you pick Aria for the first reception position. If you pick her for any other it is fine. Maybe Togs should not allow her to be chosen for lead receptionist. At least that was what I noticed.

Unable to load the last 2 saves. At least I was able to load one of the last ones (third from last) and not have to restart from the beginning..

Ugh... I'm sorry, but this update was the last straw for me, it's unfortunate because I used to really enjoy this game. It has gone completely off the rails, and it seems to stray further from the rails with each update. Paths are almost irrelevant at this point. Why is there even stats or different paths? I tried on 3 different saves, and all the girls are just dressed super slutty and flirting with a fossil, no matter what. This is a big problem on the love/gf paths, with no previous choices made indicating that the MC should be okay with this. It just keeps coming out of nowhere, and it's completely sucked my enjoyment out of playing.

Oh and also, Lois seemingly being disappointed when you mention you told Dr. Greenfield that Lois wouldn't participate in a bukkake on the Romance/GF path.

I wish you luck togs, but I just simply can't keep on, maybe I'll come back and give it another chance months from now.

*edit* Apparently, there might be bugs, I still don't care, I'm still dropping the game. That is another problem with this game anyways, and even with a delayed update there are this many bugs... it's too much of a mess.

Since I haven't played the last few updates, I've been annoyed by some forced kinks all of a sudden.
Especially situations where a game completely ignores your decisions and gives you the middle finger. No thanks.
Was nice as it was, but that's the nail in the coffin for me.

I agree with you, to me it´s seems like we are forced to go on some NTR path, and this just come out of nowhere ...

It's not just a forced ntr path - you're not altogether wrong, but it's a forced everything....like he just stopping having it check vars a lot of the times. On so many of the paths you're basically forced to copulate with all the sisters, etc. The whole spitroast dildo scene should have been conditional on the multi-person sex questionnaire, but it's not. There are many things like that.

I think he built a great game framework, then ran out of steam at some point - there's a lot here and it should be commended; and the functions he uses are modular and clearly intended for future use like the onboarding relationships....but then they're rarely called....
