I mean maybe I set something in the options that had an impact on it?
GPU: RTX 2080
CPU: i7 9700
RAM: 32 GB
And the Daz stuff is on an SSD
The PC is actually about 3 month old.
i have the exact same setup but with an super fast Samsung Evo 970 plus NVMe SSD (3500mb/sec)
dont know how much that one affects loading times but this PC is fast as hell.
Daz 4.11 beta starts up in a few seconds

what CPU speed are you running that i7 at?
are you using both the GPU and the CPU for rendering?
if yes disable the CPU
if you are using 4K textures reduce them to 2K instead. ( no visible difference from 4K to 2K as i can see)
also try to change back all settings to default.

display optimization should be set at "Best"

Well I have the Evo 970 as well, but I just use it for windows. For Daz I use a slower SSD.
Where can I see the CPU speed?
I only use GPU for rendering.
And I already tried default settings.

CPU-Z

it sounds like you are using the default 3.7Ghz speed?
this CPU runs stable at speeds close to 5Ghz.
i use the default Ai overclocking for the Asus prime z390-a motherboard and this CPU runs around 4.7 to 4.9Ghz with no tweaks at all.

i think we need some pics here :)

I have no experience with overclocking hardware, so I am a bit afraid to do it. But not sure if this would be the problem for this

probably not that much
i can check what settings i use later and post them
im rendering righ now so i cant check it right away.
you are using Daz 4.11 beta right? with the 4.17xx drivers for the 2080?
the latest 4.18 drivers will disable the GPU when rendering so do not use them

a wild guess is that you are using the 4.18 drivers.
and you are rendering with just the CPU

to check the CPU usage while rendering press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to bring up the task manager
select "Performance" and the CPU
CPU usage should be around 35% if you are rendering with the GPU
it still uses some CPU power even if you set rendering to GPU only in Daz

@GhostPhil I don't think your PC is an issue. Like someone said, you can try Scene Optimizer and see if it helps.
Lately I had some issues with some assets... For example: A tree was stopping me to render on GPU. Until I found the problem, it took me a while.

Yeah it is really weird. I mean I already saw some renders with the Bridget model, so I am not sure if the problem is there. But I will try some more today and hopefully find a solution.

Ok I actually had the driver 4.11 :D
I updated on the 4.17, but still the same problem. I isn't rendering. CPU is at 32%; RAM at 77%, GPU 2% (I guess because it isn't rendering)

Well, nothing too fancy or elaborate this time. Just something.. cute, I think

Unfortunately, I didn't find any other dress (between the one that I already had of course. Probably there are some out there that I don't know yet, who could've fitted perfectly her body without that.. "thing" below her breast)
