Just finished EP2....this game has probably most interesting story i've played for a long time! Renders are just TOP NOTCH, i can't think of bad thing to say about it.
Only a little inconvenience i had, and that was when i moved my saves to another PC, most of them didn't work and all rewards and scenes from EP1 were locked. But still, i had fun reunlocking them.
In the end i only felt bad that i just got it for free. I hope soon i will be in situation when i can become your Patron and support this masterpiece. If something deserves money then it's this!

Describe average ?? because i cant name even 1 game that is in the quality of this one.. your one liner is not making this easier if you where expecting comments after you place you wont play again good riddens.. dont let the door hit you on your way out.
Others in this thread have posted the names of several that are as good or better. If you can't name even one then that's on you. The member you quoted even mentioned that the dev's previous game had a better story, and I agree with that.
This game is better than 'average', but there are plenty of better ones.
Let us just say it loud and clear .
After finishing the v0.2 , you can't play any of the other Novels that released today or yesterday. ( at least that's how i feel ).

Well, the last 48 hours has kinda sucked as far as good game updates. BaD and LoML are the only two decent games with updates released in that time window. However, the fact that we did get updates of BaD and LoML is enough to make up for not getting any others ... until you've finished the current content in both and are then left wanting for something else with new content to play.

Imo, there are better written games out there and with more interesting/original stories, and with better renders ( more natural looking models, backgrounds, animations, etc)...but AL and this, do a great job at pulling you into characters, with good balance of humor&drama and enough intrigue/interesting scenarios to keep you interested.
Generally, Pinkcake does a very good job of emotionally hooking players, instead of making characters seem like one note fuckdolls for MC. ( The son returns home to bang his family! Do x number of chores, repeat them fifty billion times, done!)
Even, Derek grows on you, after a while.
Let's see if he learned his lesson with AL( last few epizodes, had too many plot twists and drastic change in tone), but so far it's shaping up to best parts of Acting Lessons.
Only thing that is regression is this simplistic, binary morality system: usually it makes no sense ( like with Sage) and shoehorns the player into playing one dimensional character to get "the most points".

3 month is not too long there are always interesting games coming out with new updates to keep you busy.buy an ohmibod and a big box of tea

Agreed, i would personally add Melody and Possibly Hayleys Story to the list as wellBaDIK and CoBD (City of Broken Dreamers) currently are the top nominees for the title of the year
This game truly is a masterpiece.. Incredible story and renders.
