Buying wood still keeps your overal at 0. This way you can't upgrade the buildings.

It shows you got 4x wood, 2x iron and 2x steel.
For the training room, you need 3 kinds of materials. 1. Steel 2. Wood 3. Nails
You're missing nails, maybe that's why you can't upgrade?

The confusing part is that it is that the numbers are behind the materials at the store. But when I saw coins 2X it did ring a bel. ;-)

Awesome, I love brothel management games! RPGM seems to be pretty ideal for it, given that the whole character statistics stuff is already under the hood in that engine. So please, do keep ignoring any Ren'py suggestions, since that engine is completely unsuitable for this task. (Python, or about any 2nd or higher generation programming language, would be a strong contender though, but would also need more advanced skills from the developer. So, really, stick with RPGM!)
Renpy is great and probably a better tool for such a game, but it would require high programming skills to make something like this which I don't have. Probably it would take several years to learn to this extent. Take for example a Brothel King dev. That guy must be a genius. How many complicated games like that are created? It's not that easy. RPGM is great because of how neatly the editor categorizes variables, switches, and events. There are lots of things which make other tasks easier and I love it. Not to mention additionally available plugins for free which lets me shape my game to my wishes without writing tens of thousands of lines of code myself saving my time.

Ren'py is great for visual novels, it's the whole purpose of the engine. Unless someone writes a plugin for it (in Python, for example, that should match up perfectly in theory) to handle all the statistics and management, it'd be a recipe for disaster, with ridiculous sized savefiles and problems in memory management. I *am* hoping for someone to write and release such a plugin sometime though. In comparison, this is my entire sex training event.
The main event picks information from other squares depending on girl type, sex type and distributes exp accordingly.
When I need to add a new animation, it takes a couple of minutes just to add a few codes of lines inside 6 squares, that's all.
And I use this type of eventing a lot in my game.
You can use cheat engine for rpgm, but I have no experience with that so can't help
Played through, quite good so far. A question for fidless though... is Mei actually supposed to be available as a courtesan? I got the scene where she was talking to Yura about becoming one, but did not see a way to have any follow-up. I ask because I was looking through the game data and saw that there were some images for what appear to be her studying, performing, and having sex with clients, and a couple of the save file images that was included in the archive show her as one of the courtesans too.
Ah, OK. That's what I figured was most likely, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Thanks.

Knowing what visual bugs are would be helpful.
I tested on 2 PC, med/low end and it worked well. Be more specific fidless Perhaps he means during the animations where you can press the control button to accelerate. If you don't use that option the game often freezes. Had that issue several times but if you save the game beforehand you can pick it up from there since it doesn't Always happen. Could be a memory issue.
