I find the 3D art generated at DAZ Studio "soulless".
Didn't know what studio the other games were using, seems to be DAZ, and I can't agree more. I somehow dislike how they look which is why I ignore almost all of them in the latest updates section and rather play ones with HS. Honey Select is in my opinion the bridge between game-like and realistic, which is why I prefer it, though Koikatu as well as it looks more anime-like.

But then again, in most cases... Maybe you are able to give it a fresh look compared to the other games out there, over time the quality of this game went higher that it actually was.

By no plans do you mean you don't want to keep going after that if possible or that you are going to wait to see what inspires you next?

Personally I think any engine can be effective if the story/gameplay is fun or humorous
Sorry, I expressed myself badly. I meant that I am open to new possibilities and if I have an inspiration or find a way to create my own art easily, I will definitely continue to make adult games. But right now, I'm not thinking about it, and I don't have anything planned for a future game (except for what I said about maybe using Daz Studio).

The problem is that I feel a little out of place because I think the adult games audience wants more mature things. And I don't know how to do anything serious. House Arrest should be my mature game and in the second scene Joel is shooting in the microwave, and there is that classic scene where Mary and Alanna fight half naked while Joel doesn't even care because he is watching an Adam Sandler movie. :ROFLMAO:

I know there are people who love this kind of thing, but it's definitely not what most people want in their games. A few months ago I tried the game Melody, which is super successful. I honestly couldn't understand any reason why people like that game, and this is really bad... I've been creating adult games for 2 and a half years and when I see a successful game, I can't identify anything in it that I can say: "Oh! That's why this game is so loved by players!". I don't know if I managed to make my point clear, but it's like I'm unable to understand what people really want.

Not that it discourages me. I have so much fun making my games and the support I have on Patreon is incredible. So I'm happy and I want to finish Solvalley, HS Tutor in the best possible way.

Note: I liked the Melody's library girl, however. I thought she was the only charismatic character in the game but the sex scene with her was kind of disappointing because things in that game look very robotic.

I've played Melody too and I agree with your thoughts. The plot seems similar to a bad early 2000s american coming-of-age movie. Personally, I like your games because you have characters with strong personalities, stupid shit always happens and there's not much to cringe at.

I think if you wanted to do something more serious, you could maybe capture the essence of the craziness and humor in the main character and one or two other characters and then create your storyline from there. Have you tried four elements trainer? Their writing is surprisingly good and funny pretty consistently and I think there may be something to learn there. It's the closest thing I see to a slightly more serious Solvalley / House Arrest

After that, I have no plans to continue making these types of games. But I don't know what will happen in the future. Maybe I can find a decent way to create my own models without having to steal from Illusion or using DAZ that I don't like. If that happens, I will be happy to create more games.
Yeah, you can always make games from your own original art if you ever find out how to do it. People will want to play your games regardless of the art style. Your writing is great too, so that’s a big bonus.

Is that so? I mean, I suppose VN's like Being a DIK, Deluca Family, Milfy City etc. are quite popular, but there certainly is a large audience for less serious games like Waifu Academy, Four Elements trainer, Timestamps...

I'd say stick with what you are good at. Your games are hilarious and overall very well made. Though for some reason a lot of people are offput by Honey Select models, which is a shame because they are arguably the best looking.

Yeah I totally agree here... No need to change the style of your games because the “adult games audience” likes more mature stuff... who the fuck cares what they think? You have YOUR OWN fan base because of what you do and what you’ve done... abandoning your style, that has built you this fan base, is practically career-suicide. Stick to your guns man, cuz so far people are liking what you’re putting out there. There’s no need to change.

Please don't have that impression even if it seemed true.

Trust me, many of us enjoy light-hearted games such as yours. I am personally fed up with the serious developers around here who are trying to create a drama TV show rather than an erotic game.

Games such as yours and the one by Nenad (Adventure of Willy) for example are a breath of fresh air in this sea of wannabe novelists. Some of them might hit the mark with a good story, but most of them end up forgetting what they are supposed to make and end up creating a pretentious dramatic drivel.

I wonder why the Android version out so damn fast.....turn out to be the 0.15.0 version
what scam....
I appreciate your concern but I do think it's a scam, as per me these guys have never disappointed me in any way.
Rather than that, they create a lots of Android ported games.
But if they are a scam, I don't think I can do a shit about them. :)

I will download and play. To be honest I haven't played many adult games in my life. When I started doing Solvalley, for example, I had only played two as far as I can remember: True Love and Immoral Study.

I loved these games, especially the way they present the characters. In True Love each girl has her own personality and the Immoral Study, although too short, features a girl who is super lovable.

But adult games have changed a lot and today there are several being made by westerners. I've played a few but I still don't have much culture in this area.

I also prefer the Honey Select models. But I don't particularly know how to make characters right, many of the ones that appear on Solvalley are kind of ugly, and generally the most attractive ones I just downloaded the card made by more competent people and made minimal adjustments.

Dude, your writing is awesome. Keep doing what you're doing.

As I said in the House Arrest thread, your MC there is the best male HS model I've seen.

As for the girls - maybe talk to Runey? He makes some really nice HS girls.

I think the girls in this game are just fine. You're probably selling your abilities short in that regard.

The biggest issue I've seen with Honey Select is that it's really hard to make distinctive looking guys because of the limitations of the Male Character Maker. Even then, I think you've done a good job there too.

As far as the tone of the stories, I vastly prefer something silly and lighthearted over something serious, especially for an H game. I was recently in a conversation about how I'll likely never play another game by a certain dev because of the way he ended his first--just too serious. To me, this stuff is supposed to be fun, not leave me feeling like my soul has just been ripped out.

This is exactly why open world games are so much better than linear visual novels. I swear to god they take themselves WAY too seriously sometimes; like characters dying and shit... WTF?!? The way I see it, the silly humor and lightheartedness in games makes said game MORE immersive/realistic. Like when I read a visual novel I feel so detached from the actual character and the story is so damn over-dramatic. I swear it’s like the developers are trying to give you feelings you didn’t come looking for. The only feelings I’m trying to have are good ones; laughter and horniness. “But what about a serious pitiful remorse for your decisions in the game that correlate to real life?” Get tha fuck outta here with that shiiiit! :ROFLMAO:
