Also he (dev) never lost support over his story choices in AL, on the contrary he got increasingly number of patrons. There is no reason to believe that now he will shy away from telling the story how he wants because of this.

AL is not a bad game. The full story with all the twists and revelations actually would make a good script for a Hollywood movie.

The problem with AL is that it started as a lighthearted Dating Sim where mc has opportunities to have sex with different girls. After some episodes the topics became darker (death, drugs, violence) and there where more consequences, blocking further progress with the main LIs if mc was dating other girls. And then everything turned into a psycho thriller type nightmare. So from start to end AL completely changed target audience. AL is a good choice if you look for a psycho thriller game with some sex scenes, but it is the completely wrong choice for people who look for a lighthearted sex and romance VN. Having to choose between M and M is no fun, accompanying your best friend on his bucket list tour neither.

Since the story of AL in 2020 is widely known, adding some of the dark twists to BaDIK would hardly work since players will recognize the pattern and there won't be any surprise but mostly rejection.

AL turned dark pretty quick, the very first scene. It's not like we weren't warned. That's why I think BADIK won't be that way, it's not in its general tone.

The music theme for dark things to foreshadow is : "Piano Cinematic" by AShamaluevMusic or "Spring in Russia" by Alexander Nakarada while Jill's piano theme is "Reaching the Sky" by the same artist.

BAIDK would go as a good porn game already, fuck different girls and milfs=everybody was happy.

But when the story is added then expectations go up.
which came to my mind: BAIDK includes whole or part of the MC college times?
(I guess no one knows(exept DPC) but had to try to ask or ask your option)

Yeah, I agree the story needs twists, but you don't need deaths, or lethal illnesses to keep the drama. Severe drug addiction could be a thing, but I doubt it will get to the point of someone getting OD'd, to name one possible example.

I just make sure I have enough Bacardi Black and Coke stashed. Oh, and Johnny Black or Blue to chase it down. That should make me happy again or at least insensitive to external factors.

I think the key to enjoy the game without too much stress is not to get attached to any of main girls.
Having nice bottle in the cooler cannot be wrong either.
