I see a few people on the last few pages praising the writing, and I'm honestly curious. Does the writing improve significantly after the first portions of the game, or is this a case of people confusing complexity with quality. The dialogue is a bit stilted, transitions are odd, and a lot of the script feels like it wasn't written by a native english speaker.
I think what is important here is a distinction between storytelling skill and facility with the English language. I think that PL is a very good storyteller. His written English is on the weaker side. People praising his writing are probably mostly referring to his storytelling. That said, compared to many games I see here written by non-native English speakers, his English is quite comprehensible.

Oh yes, it is definitely much better than most of the stuff here. And the writing has improved as I continued through the story (I actually came to delete my comment since I thought it was unnecessarily harsh), though I still feel like the fantasy stuff detracts more than it adds to the story. Still, I'll withhold any more judgement until I've gotten to the end of the current content.

The update was sent for translation. The translator promised to finish on Monday. If everything goes well, then I will release a demo. The Russian version is ready.

What's new?
  • 138 images
  • 4200 words
  • 2 animations
  • 11 sounds
As you can see, the update is small. I would have released it a week ago, but the render of the last scene let me down a lot. Instead of 1-1.5 hours per image, the render took 4-6 hours. I had to cut a couple of things in order to be on time. But it turned out all the same well. Everything that I wanted to show with this update, I showed. And now when I have to cut out part of the story, it is not as painful as before. I already get used to it. One day I will accumulate 3x3080ti for myself and will steadily render 20-30 images a day, but now we have what we have. :)
And yes, the opening update scene can be a little confusing. But remember that sometimes events are not what they seem. ;-)
Work on update 0.5.4 will begin tomorrow evening. In the morning I will rest, because due to a long render I had to render again at night. And I had to set an alarm clock to wake up at night and switch scenes, and I still have to go to work ... So this week I passed like a zombie.
Hmm... That's all I wanted to say, right?
In general, thank you all for waiting. Left just a little bit.
Bye!!!

here is my unofficial android port of The Intoxicating Flavor ENG v0.5.2.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

from now on my android ports of Ren'Py games have a 2nd, persistent save location like windows. if you uninstall an app, the save files and persistent data remain intact.
therefore the app needs the permission to access the public external storage, because it has to read and write outside its own external storage directories.
you have to grant the permission or the app is shut down.

have fun and please report problems (you can reach me ).

Don’t you think that it’s fucked how brazenly to throw direct links to my files? Due to too many downloads, these links are blocked.
I have blocked 2 of 4 links. I had to reload. I'll give you advice, if you want to upload a file, write to the moderator. For instance UncleVT They will arrange everything beautifully. And they will write, thank you. I am not against piracy, but I really do not want to fix it again.

Love the picture.
Yes, I turned the camera for a long time to choose the best angle. If someone liked it, then not in vain

Very interesting, even though still confusing. Unfortunately every update is only a tiny step forwards.
Unfortunately this is the case. No matter how I try, for now I just can’t release big updates because of the power of the computer. I have to vibrate either a good picture or a refresh rate. While I choose the quality. I hope one day I don’t have to choose anymore. ;)

PixelsLab That dinner conversation between Inanna and the MC, that is literally one of the very few greatest writing pieces I have gone through. Right since from her point of creation, her connections to humanity, tying it down with world events and world history, up till the point of Eve leaving on a slave ship and finding her only friend there, David.

J u s t F u c k i n g B r i l l i a n t !

Have two questions but second one is more like a theory,

Question: If Neither Eve nor Inanna sound like a threat or a classic villain in the story, then who is the actually Shadowy figure?

Question / Theory: The man Eve mated with, creating the MC, Someone whom even Inanna is impressed of, is he the creator being who even created Inanna? Thereby getting involved in the story-line, in-case if Inanna actually turns out to be the Villain, thereby making the MC the secret weapon against Inanna.
MC's anger producing thunder in Inanna's dream, makes me wonder how strong he is and adds to the aforementioned speculation.
Wow! Thank you very much!!!
About the questions.
1. I never considered Inanna or eve to be villains. They look like this because their goals are at odds with MC's goals. But Yes, there is a villain here.
2. On the account of the MC's father. To find out who he was. You just need to decide who Eva would fall in love with.
P. S. Lightning, indeed, is a demonstration of the power of MC, and a big spoiler on the ending. But you are unlikely to solve it. ;)

Just finished playing this for the first time and I kinda do agree that it's a bit heavy on the dream sequences.

I really like the characters of this game, particularly the 3 main female characters, and I have a soft spot for all them. The MC is a bit of an asshole, but when he's attentive and caring, even when he's begrudgingly doing it, is when he's at his best.

As for the story, I really liked the concept of these 4 broken people being healed and getting better by being on the island together, and I most enjoy the parts in the real world where you see the interactions between them all, particularly the sweet way Alice is with Katie and the MC, the tough yet vulnerable demeanour of Katie, and the snappy dialogue between all of them is good too and sounds very real at times.

But the lengthy dream sequences kind of lose me a bit. I don't mind the fantasy element but it reminds me a lot of when I did creative writing exams at school. I never finished them and my teacher would always tell me it was because I let my imagination run too wild and focused too much on establishing the fictional world, the lore, the characters, etc, that I never even got to the middle of the story by the end of the exam. It feels a little bit like that here where the story is doing a lot early on to establish the lore of the story and the history of the characters when it could be paced out more gradually.

Overall I do enjoy this game very much and can honestly say that I never thought I'd be into loli characters, but Alice has got me hook, line, and sinker.
Thank you very much for such a detailed review! (y)
Perhaps I really go too far into dreams. But I decided at the very beginning that I would give a third of all the time to Inanna’s dream. It’s a pity that you can’t get you carried away with this. In the future I will try to do everything as best as possible.
