It means that the dev behind the project hasn't given any news about it after 3 months, so the site assumes that the game has been abandonned.
This game hasn't been updated for a while now but since the dev still gives news well it's still worked on (I guess)

and about another pic, seems he noticed ppl arent that stupid tu buy half year old teasers as placeholder for update anymore and actually done some new this time. It's still behavior worth 2/10 but still much MUCH improvement as for him.

Did Irpheaus mention any additional details about the update this weekend? I'm looking for the main plot of this update. If anyone from the discord maybe kind enough to *spoil* some of it just for me to get the picture of what's coming.

Yes the tag system here on f95 is confusing, deceptive and open to abuse, I do think that ambiguity is unnecessary and unfortunate. Another reason Irph's player base grew is because new players will find the game here and sub without realizing Waifu Academy is not being updated and that's sad.

The 'Abandoned' tag as used here does allow a Dev to scam at will and f95 has nothing in between 'no tag' and 'abandoned' to keep faith with the player base or accurately inform players of the games true current status. Other sites have and use an 'On-Hold' tag when games like this one are not being updated, but unfortunately I don't see anything like that here. I have no idea why there is no objective standard to accurately inform the readers of the current status of games, but there you go.

I mean, the OP includes the date of the last update, so imho it's a good indicator of how slow the update process is.
